We came to Penola for a friend's 60th birthday and booked 2 nights inc breakfast. From the moment we walked in we felt hugged, it isn't high end but warm an welcoming, the bed was very comfortable, the full breakfast supplied was among the best we have seen and price was real value for money and finally Joyce did every thing to ensure our stay was perfect.Alan & Shirley..McCracken SA

This is a superb stop over place between Melbourne and Adelaide. Joyce such a friendly welcoming host. A great place to stay with al fresco breakfast in summer (previous stay) and cosy in winter. Bed so comfy and of course right in heart of Coonawarra country.

Perfectly quaint with country cottage feels. Joyce is the most beautiful host, from eggs and bacon in the fridge to pats with her dog 'Buddy' we couldn't have felt more at home.

A great place to stay. All the comforts of home. Great bed. Plenty of goodies available. Close to the main street and the wine district. All that and then there is Joyce. A delightful lady. Thank you Joyce. See you again soon.

A lovely place to stay. Joyce was caring without being intrusive, and the accommodation was comfortable, and had everything we needed.

Very clean place. A queen and single in the one bedroom so can accommodate 3 easily. Short walk to everywhere you need to go in town.
