We haven’t been to MRC since 2016 and it didn’t disappoint. We spent 7 fantastic nights riverside in our caravan. We were so impressed we will be lucky enough to get a spot the same time next Christmas 🎄. So family friendly, water access is almost perfect, the grounds are clean and tidy and the weather was wonderful. Highly recommend

A really great campground for Riverfront camping with a fire. Only a short drive from Sydney and even shorter from Newcastle fishing from your doorstep of your campsite. I do recommend bringing a bike to cut the short walk to the toilet block if you riverfront.

We stayed in the koala glam ping tent with other friends staying in the other 2. So beautiful and serene. Attention to detail in the tent was so good, attention to detail second to none. Mac and Maree went out of their way to help us in every way. A must stay

We stayed at the Koala tent (me and 5 more adults)
Was super clean, wonderfully placed near coles and the rest of the city
Place right in front of the river and with everything we needed
Super recommended

Love it there our second time camping and have also stayed in one of their tiny houses... Big flat sites, open or shade, along the rivers edge or back a bit. Boat ramp and swimming beach on the rivers edge. The best Sunsets you'd wish to see..

Serenity in NSW. The most magical glamping staycation which allowed us to disconnect. The glamping tents are spacious and the fully equipped kitchen was amazing! We spent 2 nights here and can’t wait to return one day 🇦🇺❤

Listen up, all you camping enthusiasts, because I'm about to spill the beans on Myall Camp Ground in NSW - the camping spot that's got it all (except for Wi-Fi, but who needs that when you've got nature, right?).

Let's start with the location. Myall Camp Ground is nestled in the Myall Lakes National Park, which means you're surrounded by some seriously stunning scenery. From the crystal-clear lakes to the towering eucalyptus trees, this place is a nature lover's paradise.

But let's not forget about the activities. Myall Camp Ground has got something for everyone. If you're feeling adventurous, you can go kayaking, fishing, or even take a dip in the lake (just watch out for the friendly resident pelicans). And if you're feeling lazy (no shame in that game), you can just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Now, let's talk about the facilities. Myall Camp Ground has got everything you need for a comfortable camping experience. There are picnic tables and even a playground for the kiddos. And if you're feeling particularly fancy, there are hot showers (which, let's be real, are a game-changer when it comes to camping).

But perhaps the best part of Myall Camp Ground is the wildlife. This place is teeming with all sorts of critters, from kangaroos to possums to some rather vocal kookaburras. Just be sure to keep your food locked up tight, or you might end up sharing your dinner with some furry (or feathered) friends.

So there you have it, folks. If you're looking for a camping spot that's got it all, Myall Camp Ground is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to say goodbye to your phone signal (but trust me, it's worth it).

We stayed in jan 2023. Had such a lovely time. The campground is very spacious and there’s plenty of room between campers. Composite toilets are very well maintained. The campground is situated right on the river and it’s a beautiful place for anyone to visit - we especially loved it for our young family. Will definitely be back :)

Booked this holiday expecting to be self sufficient in our caravan and this holiday was exactly that. Great views, quiet place with large sites. Some sites flood easy with rain so always set up on the high part. Great little beach but also in low tide water front sites have little inlets also which is private and beautiful. Went in September and only cool at night, mozzie were crazy though! Great relaxing holiday, with phone reception and only 8 minutes from town. Plenty of bins and a few toilets with basin avilable. Will return 👌

The camp area is brilliant, its set right on the river. Awesome for the whole family, right across the road from the beach.
The sites down near the river are big enough for the caravan and a setup on the outside.
The free range camping up the top gives you the freedom to have your own space right away from everyone.

Just spent a glorious week at the camp in the kookaburra glamping tent. It was such a unique and magical place - we were genuinely sad to leave. Every comfort has been considered and really couldn’t think of anything that would make it better. As others have mentioned, the peace of the river, the local wildlife (lizards, dolphins, birds and a resident dingo) and the natural beauty of the place made it a holiday we won’t forget for a long time. Just the soothing balm we needed after a busy year.

We had an amazing stay for Australia Day long weekend.
Such a great spot for kids to swim in the river. huge sites and a quick walk to the water.
Water station easy and many taps. Toilet facilities kept clean and stocked up on toilet paper.
We have a wash down set up so no showers was fine for us. Only thing the place is missing is a shower to rince off near the river (would make a world of difference just to get the salt off)
We got to see some wild life as a dingo would roam around at night and a Goanna through the daytime. Kids fished in the river and caught some fish.
Even being Australia Day there were some groups a little rowdy but still very respectful and turned music and noise down once it got later. Was great place as a family. Going to make it an annual camp trip!

We are a Sydney (Northern Beaches based family of 5) and have holidayed in this area of the Myall Coast for many years. We have rented apartments, houses, hotels and caravans but we have never camped and certainly never glamped in the area before.

We booked the Koala Tent for the Anzac Day LWE 2023.

We had the most incredible time, and loved our Koala Glampsite which slept the 5 of us comfortably and we could have had one more adult and still been comfortable. The layout worked well with a King, Queen and two full sized bunk beds.

The kitchenette is really a kitchen without an oven and everything thought of in terms of providing a kitchen equiped to cook and provide full family meals. I loved the country style deep sink for washing up too (obviously no dishwasher).

The lighting, solar powered USB ports by each bed and the furnishing and decorating of the tent was stunning. We just loved the feeling of sitting on the deck each morning feeling like we were over the river. Then on the third morning, the coffee van man turned up. Coffee was amazing and a nice treat to save a coffee run (only 10 mins) back into town.

Leave your hairdryer at home. Bring your good USB speaker, guitars, definitely a SUP or Kayak and we also had our tinny tied up out the front for 3 days after an easy launch from the main campsite beach.

Listen to the dingo's howl at night, throw a fishing line or crabpot out, enjoy the birdlife and don't be alarmed if you think you can hear dolphins surfacing and breathing at night. It's dolphins.

We can only praise the owners for their inspiration and thank them for creating a little glamping paradise on the stunning Myall River.

Thank you Maree for being such a fantastic host. You made all the difference just being around to help if we needed something like more firewood. Great hospitality and a wonderful LWE for a busy Sydney family.

My husband and I stayed in the beautiful Bowerbird tiny House at Mall River campsite for four nights over New Years and it was idyllic.

The house is in the perfect location. Fully shaded and with plenty of private outdoor space to sit by the fire our lay under a tree and read.

The camp site is so close to local shops, pubs and beaches so it's super easy if you want to get out and do something else.

The staff at Mall River Glamping where incredibly friendly and helpful. We will for sure be going back again!

Had an incredible time with my partner over a few days! We stayed in the kookaburra glamping tent and was blown away! Being so close to the river definitely had its perks with fun paddle board rides and picturesque sunsets. Didn’t want to leave and will definitely be returning for a few extra days! :)

One of our favourite camping spots. So peaceful. Last visit was in a tiny house and was perfect for what we wanted, hidden away in a private areas!

Has lots of wildlife: wild dolphin swimming up the river, wild dingo howling at night, an array of birds, lizards etc etc

Great for individuals or taking the kids!

Fantastic spot to camp on our first adventure in our camper. The kids had a ball. My only recommendation is that toilets be taken care of more frequently. Morning midday and night. Or at least twice a day. Otherwise, we love that we can have a fire and it really made the camping experience for the kids (5 under 11years) so awesome. Was nice with the 7 of us sitting by the fire and chatting to the kids.

We stayed in the very charming 'Tiny House' for 3 nights, very peaceful and perfect for forgetting about work and spending some quality time together away from the city de-stressing. The 'Tiny House' was tiny (as advertised!) but amenities were excellent and for a couple it was all the space you'd need. The camp is situated on a very pretty part of the river and we had a lot of fun kayaking during our stay. The 'Tiny House' is in a secluded corner of the camp and it was quiet/peaceful.

Booked in a a weekend away/ girls trip in the Pelican Glamping Tent and cannot recommend. highly enough. Every little detail was thought about and supplied, from hot water bottles, extra blankets, mosquito coils even some fresh firewood. We arrived at night and the manager was kind enough to leave us a note at the entrance to ensure we found our tent, and left the lights on so we could see. The amenities provided were great especially for cooking with coffee/ tea even some little cookies provided, the small gas stove was great for whipping up quick meals. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, BOOK IT!

Busy when we dropped in during the school holidays but a large camp on the river with some sites very close to the sandy beach. Lots of little kids having fun in the water. The cabins we saw are right on the river and would be very pleasant with a kayak or small power boat tied up out front. Launch ramp in the corner of the site.
