Broadwater National Park

Loved the visit. Was well worth a drive down from Brisbane. Even though the trails were closed for motor vehicles, they are open for hikers and bicycles. So I had lots of fun riding my mountain bike on Hind Dune trail, the a ride through Evans Head, then back on the main road and then short cutting through Death Adder trail back to the beach lookout. Some deep sand makes bike riding a challenge but well worth exploring if you haven't yet. Plenty of small wildlife, stick insects, grasshoppers, etc. Saw a few roos. Riding on the beach in some areas was fun too, at low tide. Being Sunday it wasn't crowded at all, a contrast from the overcrowded Gold Coast or Byron Bay. Recommended.

Fun little place. There are often friendly chickens there at the entrance, a scenic path along the ocean, and there are plenty of sand dunes to climb on the beach end.

Great 4wd beach with plenty of spots to fish and setup for the day. Dog friendly in certain sections.

Awesome beach to play around on.. Even got the misses to take her Hyundai i35 down and it didn't fault! Just make sure you have a buddy who can tow you in case as the sand is pretty soft at times..

Great fun four-wheel driving. Levels for everyone . Suggest if entering from boundary creek road get on the uhf and lower tyre pressure. Go slowly and watch for oncoming traffic. The beach has plenty of pippis for fishing but don't take them from the beach or go over the limit there is someone on patrol most times.

Great picnic area, has picnic tables and BBQ. Two minute walk to beach, where you can fish for your lunch. Plenty of 4wd tracks, and can drive on the beach. Surrounded by nature and wildlife. Worth a look!
