We found ourselves at the lodge one Sunday afternoon after a terrible car mishap. Leo was at reception and was so understanding and accommodating. The whole team at the lodge restored my faith in humanity going above and beyond to assist myself, my husband and my kids when things were but great for us. Leo helped is by driving to the supermarket to grab food, looking for alternate accommodation when they were full and was simply a gentlemen with a huge heart.

The whole team there were amazing- the food in the restaurant was exquisite and very reasonable considering the location and quality. Pool was great for the kids and the complimentary washing and drying facilities were a breath of fresh air!

Thank you to you all for your compassion and generosity.

Can't say I will ever be back in Bamaga, but if I was, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

Thanks Suzy, Terry, Milo & Zali 💗

Delightful room, clean & spacious.

As for the food, fabulous, each meal was so well prepared and delivered. All congratulations to your chef & kitchen team! We tried as many options as we could over 3 nights, completely impressed.

Our guide Malcolm was a gem, full of local information and highlights.

We stayed here recently for our visit to Cape York Peninsula and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pool and grounds were delightful and the recently renovated cabins were clean and roomy, and the bed comfy.
We booked two tours through the Lodge and Mal our driver was an outstanding guide, taking us to the Tip and surrounding areas of interest, providing us with an excellent and very knowledgable commentary of the local indigenous communities.
We ate at the restaurant every night and were quite surprised to find such high quality food. The wait staff were very accommodating, especially Karlie who went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after.
Thank you Marissa and Christian at Reception for the very warm welcome.
We very highly recommend this resort for any travellers to the Bamaga region and will stay here again on our next visit.

By far the best place in town. A nice selection of cocktails, the Moscow Mule is a standout. The food is excellent. Would highly recommend the Barramundi or the steak. Be sure to book, if a tour group is coming through it will likely be booked out.

Last week I went to the Lodge for a dinner review with my school. I thought the food would be delicious and it turns out it was better than delicious! I ordered the Siracha Fried Chicken for my entrée, it was a good amount of spicy. I had the Striploin Fillet for my main with mushroom sauce, chips and salad. My steak was cooked perfectly for medium rare. My dessert was the White Chocolate & Pecan Pie, with a warm pie and cold ice cream- the best mixture. Thanks to the Lodge's friendly staff for having us.

My stay at the Cape York Peninsula Lodge in a studio was fabulous. I enjoyed the privacy, and looking out to Mosby Creek from my verandah where I frequently spotted freshwater turtles resting on a log. The studio was well equiped and super clean. My first night happened to co-inside with a 'Mexican Night' at the restaurant. As I have some dietary requirements I was very pleasantly surprised that the offerings at the buffet dinner included different options for those who are gluten intolerant, dairy free or vegetarian/vegan. The different dishes were delicious, topped with fresh herbs etc. (I enjoyed it so much so that I admit to going back for a second helping).
Staying at a time that it is hot and humid, I enjoyed my dips in the saltwater pool.
And last but not least I like to mention that staff are really helpful and friendly.

My first time in Bamaga and really enjoyed it. The lodge was fantastic. Staff were friendly, accommodating and thorough. JP is also very hands on and good to talk to. Room was everything I needed and more. Im not in a hurry to go back to Bamaga but it's good to know there is great accomodation available in a pretty remote place.

Very pleasant stay. Rooms clean and well - equipped, restaurant the best food I could find in the region (though unfortunately closed at weekends, as all hotel staff are off). Reception manager(?) Mel outstanding, and a pleasure to deal with.

"Last week, us year 12 students from NPA State College dined at the CYPL's restaurant and had a 3 course meal to do a review. We loved the experience and thought the staff were very friendly and professional. Our favourite dishes were the Korean BBQ Pork Belly, Arancini Balls, Mackerel Nummus and White Chocolate & Pecan Pie. The different flavours of the meals worked well together and they were all presented to a high standard.
Big Esso to the Resort for hosting us, Year 12 Hospitality students :)"

Thank you for allowing Bravehearts Cairns Education team to stay at your accommodation. Without your support we would have been unable to educate and empower the children of the NPA area. The whole establishment was inviting, from the moment of check in to check out. Would highly recommend to anyone.
