Metung Bakery & Cafe

I was looking for a simple sandwich to go and very pleased to find a small sandwich medley with a really good amount of filling on each quarter. That, and a tin of peach tea at $8.50 in total was excellent. I’d definitely come back. I’d already eaten the ham and chicken quarters before taking the pic. Delicious!

Great to find such a good selection of affordable food options when visiting this beautiful little village. The spring rolls and salad meal was delicious and I ate while enjoying the beautiful King Lake vistas.
My wife enjoyed a mixed sandwich pack that she enjoyed immensely.

Bought take away lunch here twice recently. Wide selection of pastries, cakes, rolls and Banh Mi. Friendly and quick service. Both the chicken and pork rice paper rolls were fresh but tasted slightly bland. Pie and pasty good. Vanilla slice and brownie were yummy!

Me and my family are on holiday down this way and it became a lovely routine to awake and come down to this beautiful bakery to grab some fresh goods, unfortunately it’s our second last day and tomorrow we leave but not first stopping to say goodbye to the wonderful food and service that this bakery provides. If you are willing to travel for the best of everything this is sure to satisfy you’r craving's not to mention what a beautiful and lovely town. Can’t wait to come back again.

The corned beef and vegetable pie is outstanding, a destination pie!

Likely one of the best curry pies ever. We also had a salad role that tasted as good as the ones served in schools in the 90’s. This bakery is a classic. The service we received was warm, polite and efficient- particularly for peak season. A must visit in this picturesque part of the world.

What a lovely, clean bakery with a strong Vietnamese influence. I love my Banh Mi and have had them all over the world. This bakery does a Banh Mi that frankly beats them all. Outstanding!

If you come through Metung you must stop here, they have a large selection with lots of sweet cakes. The rice paper rolls are absolutely delicious and a very fresh, I recommend the chicken or pork as they both have delicious meat. There are many lunch options here with rice paper rolls, sandwiches and salad rolls and a variety of pies and pasties. A must stop right on the main street

A must visit bakery in Metung! Purchased sandwiches, muffins and some desserts including carrot cake and caramel slice. All delicious! Very reasonably priced too!

Thank you so much for our smashed avo and hot chocolates this morning. Honestly the best breakfast I've had in a long time! Amazing food, great service, an awesome selection of treats and well priced! We will definitely be back before the end of our trip.

This is the best restaurant ever! Very friendly staff and friendly conversation! Smashed avo and waffle are extremely tasty and pork in bahn mi is very crunchy! Definitely suggested for tourists!

The staff are amazing! They do a great job creating that connection with customers remembering their names and having abit of a chat. And the food is really good too! Love the pies, fav is butter chicken. I pop in for lunch whenever I’m working in Metung

French giving 5 stars to this bakery - I was just delighted - try the plain cheesecake- a masterpiece !!!! Really nice even the meat pie was one of the best one a ever had. Everything is home made !!! Was just great

Bloody beautiful pies and sausage rolls. One of the best I've tasted!! Chicken sweet chilli focaccia was also lovely. The ladies here are lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back :)
