Great place! It was very still and hot one moment, and then extremely windy the next.

There’s a boat ramp making it very easy entry for kayaks - there’s a few covered benches with some shade too.

This is a nice area of untouched and natural bush land abundant with wildlife.

Excellent spot 👌🏻

The Lake is shallow (most is less than half meter deep), unsuitable for large boats but excellent for kayaks. Vegetation is quite thick in places. Lots of birds.

Always fun going out for a paddle on the lake. We like it best early in the morning before the wind comes up.

A lovely quiet area to connect with nature. It was so peaceful when we went with not another soul around.
There are areas where you can set up a picnic or access the lake. No motorised vehicles are allowed on the water.

We enjoyed a peaceful morning paddling our kayaks around on the lake. We saw black swans, water hens, herons and eagles.

The water was clean, I only saw one piece of rubbish (which we took away).

The carpark at the end of Tamarind Drive is great for parking with the trailer and the ramp makes it easy to enter and exit the water.

We didn't stop for a picnic today, but there are tables there if we wanted to use them.

A beautiful part of the coast, mostly unchanged over the decades. A lovely family friendly place, relaxed and not on steroids like the Gold Coast! Great surf at Cabba headland, the lake is a lovely place to take the kids. Toilets and swings, barbecue at headland as well, enjoy!

We are lucky to have this area of vegetation in our coastal region.

Wonderful place - Rocky shore. Long sandy beaches. Shallow sheltered creek well worth canoeing. Birds galore. Accomodation cv lose by. Aboriginal plant walk well worth the stroll.

Stunning quiet beach with wild surf. Great walk to Hastings Point where one can see the whales in season. Thoroughly recommend for walkers.

A very underrated place for tranquility. A kayaking paradise where you have a spring chance of seeing some great birds including the black Bittern

We went on a canoe paddling adventure through here, to Lake Cabarita at dusk on a full moon, it was lovely, highly recommended!
