Merriwa Golden Fleece Motor Inn & Lodge

The room- immaculate. Service- first class. Pam and her staff do a wonderful job to keep her lodge 5 star and it shows. The room was spotless, comfortable and welcoming. Pam was the hostess-with-the-mostest and made us feel at home right away. I hope to stay there again on my next trip home just to see her! Highly recommend!

This charming motel exceeded our expectations. My partner and I travel a lot for work, and we often end up in small country towns with limited lodging options. However, this place is truly delightful! The spacious, well-equipped rooms indicate recent renovations. Pam, the host, has made us feel like special guests with her kindness and helpfulness since our arrival.

This is an excellent Motel. The room was large and very well appointed. It had everything you could want - including a bathroom tap that was high enough to easily get the jug under. This is something that not even top Sydney hotels get right.

There was a full-size fridge with a jug of fresh milk - wonderful! Those little UHT containers you get elsewhere are disgusting. There is a microwave for warming and a full set of cutlery and crockery. A sign says no cooking in the rooms, but there is an outside BBQ area.

The rooms looked quite new and the bed was huge. Each room has a deck with outdoor table and chair.

The wifi wasn't strong enough to use, but I just hotspotted my phone.

Pam, the host, was very friendly and took me to the room and showed me where everything was. She also told me where all of the local eateries where. Excellent service.

Such a beautiful little motel with absolutely beautiful staff and the owner is just amazing will do anything to make your stay comfortable. The new motel rooms are great nicely made up and spacious very comfortable super king bed also the shower is awesome 💯 the pressure is the best. Aand best of all it's in a cute little country town.

An absolute oasis! The owner Pam is so lovely and helped get me settled in to one of her fantastic rooms. The place is alright from the outside but so clean and gorgeous inside. Highly recommend stopping here for the night, indulge in a beer across the road or a lovely chat with Pam.

I stayed Friday 24th November 2023….. unbelievable…. Should be on everyone’s bucket list to visit and stay. The new motel is the next level of country motel accommodation. Pam the owner is extremely pleasant and the rooms are hospital grade clean, immaculately presented and well priced. No problem with parking and meals at the pub across the road are very good. You should book ahead as this gem is very busy. 11/10. Thankyou ……Jim.

Staying at Merriwa Golden Fleece Motor Inn and Lodge is a unique experience in a modern world. Pam knows how to do service really well. The rooms are modern, clean and fresh. There's WiFi and fresh milk in the fridge. There's easy access for those with mobility issue with the use of a ramp.
I highly recommend a stay here whilst on your travels.

I have stayed multiple times while working in the area and find it to be one the best regional accomodations there is. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and contain everything a motel should. Pam's country hospitality is always great, she goes above and beyond.

I’ve been staying here when I come to Merriwa for work for over 8 years - Pam is a fabulous host and runs a very clean and comfortable hotel. Always immaculate, her rooms are clean and funky. And I can get work done comfortably at the desk and walk to dinner very easily. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ this time I got the Accessible Room and was very impressed with the layout and size. It would be a great room for my mum to stay in as she needs extra space for her walker and grab rails in the bathroom.

Pam was the loveliest! She really made us feel like we were at home, and that we had everything we needed. We stayed in the heritage building, which was cool - they definitely built things differently back then. The room was beautiful and the beds very comfortable - especially loved the electric blanket. Bathrooms were clean, showers were hot, and overall we had a great experience. Would stay here again if we passed through town again. Thank you to Pam!

The Golden Fleece is a fantastic place to stay. Pam is so helpful and friendly. We stayed in the new motel section which was so cozy. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the rooms were spacious and full of every comfort you’d need. Would recommend this inn to everyone passing through!

We arrived so late at night but Pam kept the reception open for our late arrival and greeted us like friends. The rooms were beautifully maintained and clean, bathrooms were the same. I highly recommend Golden Fleece for your overnight stays when you’re on the road.

Pam made my stay very comfortable, thinking about all the little things, comfort on the verandah from the sun by lowering the blinds in time, lighting at the doorway for key entry, caring about eating recommendations, very nice linen and showing me around the room features on arrival. Customer service rarely seen. Loved my stay! Thankyou!

Pam is a wonderful host, very helpful and goes the extra mile without any fuss. Great size room, air conditioning, fans, lots of extras in the bathroom, tissues and razors, fresh milk in the fridge, microwave in the kitchen, it's a must stay, better than anywhere else we have stayed. Pam made us feel so welcome from the first moment we spoke to each other on the phone. The special touch from the kitchen area & freshly made sheets each day. Most definitely will be back.

Lovely room. Very spacious and clean. Easy parking which made moving suitcases in and out very comfortable. Pam the owner was very helpful and good for a chat. Good location and just up the road from the cafes for berakfast..Would definitely stay here again.

Pam greeted us at reception and showed us to our room .Country hospitality at its best .Loved Pam she was here to please and she was an absolute delight. Pam was a beautiful welcoming host. As a young person travelling she explained everything perfectly to me and made me feel at home, almost as if she was a mother hen to me. The room was great, had everything i needed. Highly recommend.
