Mother's day was enjoyed at this charming and delightful restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Food was delicious and well planned for the day. Our plates were nearly all licked clean, we enjoyed all choices of dish from entree to main. Dessert was exceptionally delicious. A delightful atmosphere by the river. No problem recommending a visit or two.

While the House of Gabriel wasn’t quite a religious experience, it did deliver 5 stars for us. We’ve eaten here quite a bit over the last few years and it never disappoints. We had zucchini and corns fritters followed by the apple gillette, the remains of it in the pic, even our Dalmatian Coco enjoyed her visit.

We were drawn to this location for the beautiful views of the river and decided to have lunch. The garden area was dog friendly 🐾 which was a draw card for us. The menu is small but great options and specials. The chef Lee came out to chat and recommended dishes for us and went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional.
We will definitely be back! Great atmosphere and great food. Can recommend the delicious sticky date… you can taste the love put into it!

Chef Lee has a wonderful ability to use good local food and turn it into a delicious and very tasty treat. Everything we ate was delicious, the scallops, the lobster burger and the sticky date pudding, it was all top quality. The location, the view and the atmosphere was fantastic. Chef Lee and his staff were all excellent. We will definitely be going back Love love loved it 🥰

I recently had my baby shower at House of Gabriel and was a magical morning it was. We enjoyed a delicious high tea in the outdoor setting. The decor was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious starting with the scones with jam and cream and the passionfruit drink was so refreshing.
I honestly can’t thank the owners enough for their wonderful hospitality and I’d highly recommend this venue for your next high tea.

Food is always so fresh and delicious.
Lovely setting with a garden - my small dog is allowed in that section.
Pictures are from the breakfast menu, but lunch is just as nice. And pizzas on the Friday are those lovely light thin base.

Nice quiet spot just off the highway, about a 10 minute diversion driving through cane fields along the Tweed River - fabulous view over the river and good food/coffee. Not a big menu but good options. Closes after lunch, well worth the trip and a much more relaxing experience than petrol station stops.

It was such a beautiful evening for the first of the summer barbecues. The food was superb (aromas alone were worth it!), prompt and friendly service, and lovely atmosphere. And the view, of course, was stunning.
I had the prawn burger (delicious!), and everyone else had the brisket burger, which they loved. And the pavlova to follow was perfect (wish I could make such a great pav!)

e had a really really lovely evening. And thank you also for having gluten free buns, for my friend with a major gluten intolerance.

A very much recommend the summer barbecue!

Delicious food & picturesque views of the Tumbulgum River in the most magical garden setting. This quaint little house has both a beautiful restaurant and gift shop. Perfect for high tea, bridal showers or baby showers. The gardens are well cared for and it was wonderful to explore the different plants and show the children the fresh herbs, coffee tree, passionfruit vine, olive tree, spinach and the most amazing wisteria tree intertwined over the pergola.

Out the back was an authentic firewood pizza oven that wasn’t operational today but there was a sign saying Pizza’s Friday night 5 -8:30pm. We look forward to going back on a Friday night for delicious pizzas.

The meals we had today were delicious. The children had fish and chips, we also had Vietnamese salad and duck spring rolls, Club sandwich and the salmon. All were presented beautifully, and the highlight was ordering the Locally made Husk blue gin. The was served on a tray with the gin in the glass with edible flowers and rosemary garnish, an the tonic water on the side, as you poured the tonic water in the blue gin it turn the most spectacular colour of purple !

Small menu due to recovery from devastating floods at Tumbulgum. Atmosphere and service terrific. Cheeky cocktails - let’s give this business a hand up . Beautiful peaceful outlook over Tweed River . The apprentice pastry chef is OUTSTANDING his almond cho cake “ to live for”
