Showgrounds

Very accommodating campsite, recently refurbished amenities, lovely hot showers, very friendly caretaker, extremely moderate rates.
Walgett Council have done a great job if previous reviews are to be believed. Thanks.

The Walgett Ag Show was an absolute blast. Showgrounds is an excellent venue for outdoor events.

Good as any

Short drive out of town so it is really quiet here and it is dog friendly but we only stayed one night as the caravan/camping area is all on top of very rough tar and gravel carpark so don't expect to get a tent peg in the ground. There is power and water hookup, unfortunately the water is not fit for drinking according to the signs. And while there is an amenities block, it is extremely dated and in need of refurbishment.

Camping area undergoing refurb so not that inviting and facilities being upgraded. Quite a walk to the other showers and toilets - these are dated and basic but hot water for showers. Quiet and away from main roads. Should be a lot nicer with the refurb. Caretaker lives here and will collect the fees.

Found the whole experience very poor. Amenities not clean, no sanitary bins, had to ask to get toilet paper, poor water quality and pretty unfriendly caretaker. Plus $28 to boot. Recommend you keep moving on.

Walgett council are a rip off as they ask to much to stay at the show grounds and there's not potable water and the showers are horrible Narrabri are cheaper and cleaner. So wrong
