Eskbank House Museum

A very well curated museum. One of the best I have seen for layout and local historical knowledge. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and were a joy to chat to. Well worth a visit.

Top marks for the two volunteer ladies looking after this museum. Best $5 entry to a museum I've spent. Complete with guided tour, lots of laughs and a great bit of history for the area too.

Make sure you go outside to see some of the exhibits they have in storage too.

And someone please tell these ladies to keep up the good work & laughs. You made our day.

Have been three times so far as very helpful and friendly staff and amazing well preserved house and even a steam train that has stairs up into train and lots to see. Great for anyone with disabilities as well as easy to get around. Highly recommended museum and staff have so much information to share and make you feel very welcome. Each room has so much to see

Wonderful historic house and museum dating back to the 1840's.
The grounds are beautiful and the museum collection is full great history.

This is very interesting and informative place to learn all about the history of Lithgow nsw the lady that took us on the tour was extremely helpful friendly and explained it beautifully

The Eskbank House Museum is an amazing part of the history of fire, coal and iron in Australia. Well worth visiting.
