Great atmosphere and if you go into Alice Springs you can see all the drivers and riders on prologue day Saturday.

Finke Desert Race is one of the most iconic event of Central Australia. You must plan at least 2 days camping plan. Take lot of food & drinks. You will find some dried plants to start the fire but need logs/ wood to burn afterwards. Lot of flies and mosquitoes. Enjoy it the maximum.

A truly great experience. Well organised for competitors and spectators alike. One tough race, in superb scenery. Do it, or watch it - just get out there

Amazing experience again. Is a must do action packed event. Camped out we had fireworks with dinner. People in costume or naked. Bikes and buggies and comradeship with other fuel stops. Get there and experience it for yourself it's amazing.

The start for the car race was amazing. The crowd is great and various options for breakfast and coffee is available.

THE BEST DESERT RACE IN THE WORLD!!! Absolutely fun for all ages!! Just please leave your pets at home and drink responsible!!! If you have never been, put it on your bucket list and we will see you in 2020!!! Bring it on!!!

Well worth seeing at least once in your life. Scrutineering is good to see the bikes and cars up close as well as drivrs and riders. Viewing the race from beside the track down ghe Maryvale Rd is awesome. Some crazy driving on Maryvale road though in the dust, so be careful.

Fantastic. Family friendly and some awesome racing. The hospitality is second to none. All of the competitors are approachable and have all of the time for you. Loved it

A must do as either a competitor or spectator, Alice Springs hosts the race so well and it's a great holiday for any person. The event is really well organised and there's lots of food stalls around.

You have to go once in your life time to this race

Wicked event. Ran well enough for the circumstances. Many inconsiderate spectators/ campers leaving a ton of mess

Its just the best race ever ,awesome bikes ,trucks scrutinering, food ,night markets ,and camping along the track makes it just the best
