Diplomat Hotel Alice Springs

Great location, great restaurants with good food just opposite name "Uncles Tavern". Beautiful environment and ample free parking on site. Shopping mall with restaurants & supermarket Woolworths just 3m walk.

Lovely clean room very central to the town centre. Great restaurant and pub attached to the hotel/motel. The food was fantastic. We've had a great time. 3 nights 👍🏼

We stayed at the Diplomat on two occasions this trip, once in the budget room and once in the regular.
Both were good value for money, clean, had all the things you needed. Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Right in the centre of town, walking distance to most things, and has off street parking. Would stay here again.

Stayed here several times over last 6 years without any problems. Rooms are clean and accessible, staff are good. Bar is ok and food very good.

The Diplomat is in a perfect location in town and central to supermarkets, chain stores, cafes and all shops. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have everything you need. Beds are good and car parking is plentiful and easy. While some parts of the rooms are a bit run down, honestly you could not ask for more for the price. So cheap and great value it deserves its 5 stars. We asked for a ground floor room away from the the onsite tavern and it was perfect. We ate at the tavern three times and the food was plentiful and delicious. In particular the reception and housekeeping staff were great. When we asked for an extra blanket it came in minutes and everything was replenished promptly.

This place was amazing to stay at secure and the rooms are great. The only issue we had was the location while trying to sleep the homeless people were having a party and it went all night making it a rough night between yelling,music and police sirens. But the location is also super handy to walk to the shops during the day. The tavern attached to the hotel is amazing also.

Went for lunch, but only had limited menu due to the number of cooks.

Always request to stay here when I'm down for a work trip, comfy room, great pub/restaurant right out front, good coffee and breakfast, staff is so friendly and helpful. Very safe and quiet

Great place to stay in the centre of town. Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The on-site tavern has reasonably priced food and drink and the on-site Cafe is great for breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again

This place was in a great location. Can walk anywhere in town. The rooms were large and clean. The air con was perfect. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. Having the Cafe and Tavern on site was perfect. The pool area was clean and great to use on a hot day. The price for our accomodation was very reasonable. Would stay here again if I came back to Alice!

As usual friendly helpful staff checking in. These girls are always great. Gave us directions to room, coffee voucher for Stumps (great breakfast there) drink voucher for Uncles and wifi password. Checked in to room early as it was available. Super clean room everything you need. Plenty of tele channels, cold fridge and nice balcony to sit on and people watch. Central to everything. Great meal in the bar and good service.

Was a last minute booking. Not the flashiest hotel but it was clean and comfortable and the staff are very accommodating and nice. Uncles Tavern can be rowdy but your in the town centre so easy access for places to eat if your not into the pub scene.

This is my "home away from home". I am a regular here and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
All the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Food is excellent.
Rooms are clean and housekeeping staff are very helpful if you need anything.
Uncles is a fun place with a friendly atmosphere.
Give it a try you won't be disappointed!!

Excellent customer services for the ladies Dianne and Melissa (she even remember my 1st name) and their boss the lady in the office (Sorry I did not get your name).
An excellent place to rest and I feel save with my vehicle as after 6 pm the only entrance and exit must go via reception with a road humps and busy Gregory Terrace so no way your car will gone missing without being seen by the reception on duty (24 hours).
Love the brekkie @ the Stump and the dinner @ Uncle Tavern, I loved their burger a must try!

On our way to Perth and had booked 2 days at the Diplomat. 2am in the morning our Good 2 Go pass was cancelled because of positive tests in Brisbane. We had to stay 2 weeks in NT to get into WA. We chose to spend the 2 weeks here at the Diplomat. The management gave us a good deal. The staff have been excellent from management to the cleaning staff. The rooms were comfortable, and good Wi-Fi. Close proximity to shops and everything we needed. Why stay anywhere else when in Alice Springs when there is the Diplomat. Highly recommended. Big thanks to all the staff for a great stay.

Over all good location. Budget place. Next to pub which is bonus.

It is easy to get caught up with the ‘Big’ hotels however, Coming to Alice is to connect with the people, it’s traditions and to do this we need to be centrally located. The Diplomate and Uncles provides outstanding hospitality. Diana and her team are polite, genuine and love being part of a special business. Weekly food specials washed down with a long list of beer and wines is a perfect way to wind down a day in central Australia. Rooms are well presented, fresh, clean and comfortable, highly recommended.

Diploma hotel is in the heart of Alice Springs. It's a great place to relax and bring your family for a holiday. And advantage the sensitivity of Alice Springs with its amazing sunrise and sunset at night.

Location and service brilliant. No bells and whistles just good sized well air-conditioned and big tv room up and away from the noise of town. Ashleigh behind the bar and Melissa at reception particularly awesome service thank you!!!
