Australian Maritime and Fisheries Academy

Just completed my coxswain course and shipboard safety course with AMFA. 4 weeks with these guys flew by thanks to the knowledge of the instructors which made the course work engaging, rewarding and unforgettable. Will definitely be recommending this institution to others and will be returning for further studies in the future.

Required the coxswain, shipboard safety & radio courses for work but also wanted to push myself at something new & interesting. The course, academy and all the staff totally delivered on all my expectations. Very interesting, informative and well presented courses.

I Recently completed my coxswain course and had a great time I found all the teachers to be extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would happily recommend the academy to anyone looking to study the marine industry.
The course was challenging and fun and I look forward to one day returning to up skill my qualifications.

Excellent facilities, very knowledgeable instruction. I have studied & worked in education facilities around the country, AMFC rates in my book as good as the best quality institutions. Highly recommended.

Regards the 3 negative reviews below- all made on the same day. Very unfair & all related to one student who obviously has issues. Google reviews being what it is, does not check, filter or review these comments on request- they should, because currently slanderous comments are allowed to stay up, which can severely & unfairly prejudice the institution or business.

Just finished the Coxswain course. Loved it!! AMFA was very proffessional in its delivery. AS long as you're willing to put in the work and study you will have a very enjoyable time and finish with the desired outcome.

Great Coxswain Course and Ship Board Safety Course, great mix of theory and practical, learnt so much and was very enjoyable, great atmosphere and all trainers were great and very helpful

Done my Coxswain, Radio and Shipboard Safety. Staff were awesome and very helpful so made it easy to get through.

As a parent....
I am disgusted with the treatment of some students who attended these classes..
The staff can be unprofessional....
And set poor examples for the students......
I'm worried staff do not follow policies and procedures ......
And have there own rules...
I strongly feel there needs to be more training for all staff as they do not show leader ship or any skills in identifying indevidual needs...
It would be much better if these courses were performed in a tafe....
And supported by lecturers who truly understand the community ....

Worst experience.

Teachers are abusive and violent.
Ceo is a liar and makes promises he can't keep.
To be honest authorities need to investigate and shut this mess down.
