You just keep going up on this hill. The vistas are at the beginning of the Ridge walk where it's open but at you go further up it becomes more forested.

Google maps doesn't really show you the trail but there is one you can follow that goes all the way to the top. Near the top however it is a little more overgrown. Nice walk nonetheless.

Did the return walk to summit, beautiful views with lots of lovely birds. Saw black cockatoos and rosellas. Best viewpoint is from the plateau, walk from there up to summit was quite narrow and overgrown, maybe not worth it.

Love this hike follow the fire trail round the back for an easy climb then straight down the front towards the car park spectacular views over the valley on the way down

Epic summit hike, steep with mixed terrain & incredibly grand views! Love that it’s a loop so completely different on the way up to coming down! Highly recommend

Hard walk to the top and back down, beautiful views all the way though. Can loop around and it is less steep on the fire trail side.

Nice walk, accessible by 2wd. Beautiful views. Windy and cold - bring a coat on the cooler days. One of the few tracks not closed due to repairs.

Great stopover for whenever you're crossing the blue mountains through this way and the road is really enjoyable and no traffic.

Naturally spectacular views of the upper Grose Valley sandstone bluffs, just a short moderate fitness walk away from some of the best views you will ever see. Access via an easy to miss turn south of Bells Line of Road just a little further past Mt Tomah Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens towards Bell/ Lithgow. Wild.

This place is easily accessible. You can go there with young children or elderly relatives. Leave your car in the Parking lot in the Mount Banks picnic area. Already from the Parking lot there are excellent views. But if you go up the path for 200-300 meters, your impressions will increase many times. The mountains look best before sunset, when they are illuminated by the rays of the setting sun.

Very nice walk with a mix of terrain and views. Recommend doing anticlockwise do the summit first. Still very muddy and wet near the top making the trails slippery after all the recent rain, be a while to dry out 👍

One of my favourite mountain walks. The view is spectacular from the saddle, and be sure to keep an eye out for puddles of water where little creatures swim. There is no view from the top of Mt Banks due to the vegetation, so we prefer to stay below the treeline. However, people might enjoy the stark contrast from the wind blown, brushy ridge to the fern-laden, green hilltop.

Excellent place to do a short walk. Not so crowded. So many points to stop by and enjoy the beauty of the blue mountains. After reaching the Summit continue further for a short walk to get to the viewpoint and relax.

The beginning of the summit walk is behind the big rock that is behind the sign.
Don’t make the same mistake I did and take the left to walk up the summit by the road. As of 12-2-2019, the single track that leads from the road is not maintained and it’ll mean walking through overgrown trees and plants.

Best views are from the grassy saddle before the climb winds to the left as the forest is dense on top. Wear long pants as there are stinging nettles.
