Cane in today on a whim and was totally blown away!

I was so surprised that no one else was here during lunch on a Friday.

Husband and wife team running the pub, I ordered a sirloin steak and my mate grabbed the classic schnitzel burger.

My steak was cooked to perfection and it was just the right size, done medium.

This is a stunning little pub that you must drop in and see, the atmosphere here would be amazing on a busy afternoon after a few beers and a good feed.

I'm looking forward to dropping in a lot more often on our adventures north of Newcastle.

We ate here two nights in a row whilst on holiday
In the context of a country pub it hits the mark.
Bistro food included a good variety of meals. All were delicious.
The staff were very polite and helpful. We had two dogs on a rainy evening. They allowed us to eat in the covered enclosed billiard area just behind the bistro.
Don’t be fooled by the appearance of weather board and gravel car park. This is a wonderful venue to have a meal and drinks.
There was an obvious sense of community in the atmosphere.

Great country pub. Meals were fabulous and very generous in proportion. Staff and the locals are super friendly. Stop in if you are driving through.

Cold clean beer and a great feed highly recommend for a Sunday trip, will definitely be back .

Worth a drop in for a few icy cold beers 🍻 with some mates (and a designated driver) Look out for the friendly unexpected insects 🐜 🕷 on the bar… they will come say g’day whilst getting a cold one!

Atmosphere and publican are amazing. Kitchen serves good quality meals at really reasonable prices. This is a super friendly pub with great live music. Great selection of beers and wine, and smiles all around. Nicky runs a great pub

This place was absolutely. The two young gentleman that were serving were so great as were the rest of the staff. The food was fantastic. Will be returning for sure

A pub that obviously caters well for the locals. Cheap beer. Quality food. Stopover from Canberra to Brisbane. This little pub makes the town. Dog friendly outdoors, but it’s in the sun. Free pool. Wide range of alcohol, with 10 or so bottles of scotch.

Hands down some of the best lamb cutlets I’ve ever eaten. Big portions and very good quality food. A must if you are ever in the area.

A tad pricey I thought for a village pub but definitely a fantastic pizza

The Farmers Hotel in Vacy is incredible, the food was absolutely delicious. My family and I ordered the bruschetta and salt and pepper squid for entree which was absolutely amazing. For mains we ordered schnitzels which came as a generous size with either salad and chips or mash and veggies. The salad was really tasty and the mash and veggies were amazing. The staff was very friendly. Overall we had a great experience and would go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful country pub with good country hospitality. Bar staff are very happy, polite and enjoy a chat if not too busy.

What a nice place to go to for lunch!!! With a country atmosphere, this little country pub was a pleasant surprise for a Sunday lunch drive. Plus they have music / band there on the last Sunday of each month. Worth the drive!!!
