Ochre Medical Centre Lithgow

I have now been visiting Ochre Medical Centre Lithgow for about 2 years. I have never had any bad experience there, the Doctors are all very professional, and there is no rush at any appointment, and the appointments are normally very close to the booked time.

The staff are fantastic and treat every person there with respect and friendship. Linda and the other ladies at reception are wonderful and make visits to the doctors a pleasure.

The Nurse, Wendy, is amazing, nothing is ever any trouble and She is obviously very experienced and highly skilled, and is always very pleasant to be with.

The in house Pathology is a great time saver.

I would very much recommend this practice to anyone wanting excellent medical care in a very safe and friendly environment.

This was our first time visiting this practice, with my almost 3 year old son, GPs can be a highly stressful experience. From the lovely service by the ladies at the front desk, to the thorough and caring approach from Dr Jordan! We will be back 🙏

Very friendly knowledgeable Receptionist who was super helpful and Dr Jordan is absolutely amazing. Took the time to go over my whole medical history and getting tests done etc. Lovely experience.

The clinic was open on time and the check-in process was seamless. The receptionist was polite and friendly. Dr Sachal was personable, engaging, and helpful. As a patient, I was satisfied and will be delighted to return when required.

I moved to lithgow about 7 years ago. I have multiple medical issues. The change from Melbourne and metro care to regional was a shock for me. So focused on the drug issues here and the hardship of most Lithgow citizens they treated me like a drug addict, judged me straight off the bat. I haven't been to them for years UNTIL now. I got sent there due to a workplace injury. I was greated but a very kind helpful front desk worker. I saw Dr Ben Hanson whom was so kind, so helpful, thorough and non judgemental. Ever since, they follow up on my progress, both Dr and Admin and never ever even the slightest sense of (you're just a number) which is a massive problem we have here in the medical community. Dr Hanson Ochre and Dr Canada bridge street I feel are the only drs so far that I have had that treat with respect, don't assume, and care.

I took my elderly father to this medical centre for a full health assessment and I couldn't be more pleased with the kindness and professionalism with which the doctor, nurse and receptionists treated him. They took their time to listen to him, laugh with him and then talked to him gently and persuasively about a future healthcare plan. Wish I'd have gone to them before!

I Suzanne Jones Bullock give 5 stars for the lady Morgan on reception. And we are very Happy with Dr Benjamin Hansen.

From my personal experience - I've always found the practice to professionally managed. From making appointments to the efficient and friendly front office staff - through to the care delivered from clinicians. As someone who is generally lazy in leaving reviews - good service needs to be acknowledged.

Its incredible what a caring doctor can do for their patients

They no longer bulk bill and a standard consultation costs $90 and you get $41 back.

My wife and I have been to different doctors here, and the nurse for flu shots, and we are both impressed by how good they are. On top of that they bulk-bill everyone. We couldn't ask for anything more and we're grateful to have this high quality of medical expertise, service and care in a small country town.

Great medical centre. Welcoming staff and excellent doctor. Highly recommend this practice.

An excellent consultation. The doctor explained the results of my test results and suggested how I can improve the bone density: checking measurements from previous years. Also she investigated my ongoing breathing problems, explaining the symptoms, and prescribing a corrective solution and a follow-up lung test the following week. She also checked heart beat. An excellent session: I only wish she could be my long-term GP.

Very friendly reception staff, very helpful not to mention the excellent doctor I seen

Nurse Wendy is a huge asset to the surgery, very professional and helpful, great to deal with. Dr Dearin an excellent doctor and reception staff always pleasant and very helpful.

First time attending the clinic. Friendly reception and kind and understanding doctor. Good location and feel very comfortable recommending them.

As always everyone is wonderful. Going to miss Prof John Dearin so much but it’s his time so we wish him many blessings as he moves on with life.

I took my daughter for her first vaccine today. Although we weren't patients there, we were treated very professionally. And the doctor who administered the shot was amazing. Made my daughter completely at ease.

Dr Basil is one of the best doctors this practice has had. He is very patient and understanding, great memory and working relationship with his patients, exceptionally knowledgeable and caring. I know when I attend your practice I’m getting 100% quality care from him.
