Rented from Tassie Car Rentals as my 20 year old son was keen to drive during our trip to Tasmania, and the “big” hire car companies don’t allow drivers under 21. We were very impressed with the service we received, firstly we were upgraded from a 2 door Hatchback to a 4 door Corolla. The pickup and drop off process at Launceston Airport was easy and the rates were very reasonable. Despite our vehicle being an older model Corolla with high kms, it didn’t miss a beat during our trip and performed flawlessly. Our refundable bond was also returned within 3 weeks. Overall, would highly recommend Tassie Car Rentals and will definitely use them again should we return to Tasmania.

The rental agency made it very easy to pick up and drop off my car. I was impressed with the personal service and direct emails. I didn’t have any problems but I felt like I would have been well taken care of if something had happened. I will definitely rent with them again!

Jim and his team were a pleasure to deal with. They offered us an upgrade prior to arriving in Launceston. The pick up and drop off process was the easiest I have ever experienced. The car was clean and comfortable. We will definitely use them again when we return to Tasmania.

I was initially wary of the lack of "glitz" in their online advertising and the low rental prices, but these guys are the real deal. They have well-serviced second-hand cars at much cheaper rates than the other rental companies. We had a C. 2017 Holden Commodore station wagon which was in good condition and perfectly suited our trip, which took us from one end of Tassie to the other, including over the central highands. They were always responsive, including to telephone calls. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend Tassie Car Rentals. Just had 10 days travelling around Tasmania in a pre loved Kluger. Yes it has a few battle scars but it was clean and reliable. Communication with Jim from Tassie car rental was great and everything was easy and efficient and so much cheaper that the big rental companies.

We booked a small to medium sized car (Kia Rio or similar) but were upgraded to a larger car (Holden Commodore Omega) at no extra cost, possibly because the smaller to medium cars were all hired out. A bit unexpected but it was actually still quite fuel efficient and very comfortable and was ideal for touring Tasmania. Tassie Car Rentals were more affordable than the larger car companies and were very easy to deal with too and did'nt seem to be so profit driven as the larger car hire companies. I'd definitely recommend then to others in future.

Wonderful service, friendly staff, easy to communicate to, great prices!! Drove from the seaport throughout Tasmania returning the car in Hobart it was all a fantastic experience with this car rental company and would recommend to anyone going to tasmania

We hired a Toyota aurion for two weeks and found tassie car rentals were easy to communicate with and great prices. The car was perfect for our needs, drove well and was very comfortable. Oh what a feeling! Highly recommend.

We were very happy with the personal service and as it turned out, a later model vehicle than we were expecting as a pre-loved car. Pickup and return was an interesting experience, quite relaxed compared to the big name companies. Pricing was competitive, arrangements were reliable and we could always reach a knowledgeable human by phone when we had questions.

Hired a small car through Tassie Car Rentals back in September. Reasonably priced and staff had good communication. Unfortunately the bond took several weeks to go back into my account but other than that everything else was great. I would definitely hire through Tassie Car Rentals again.

Brilliant Company to deal with, they were so patient and understanding with Flight Changes etc. Car was perfect for our needs, contactless pickup and drop off was really well explained and a seamless procedure. Will definitely book with them again for our next trip to beautiful Tassie.

Booked an 8 seater for a group of us in July. Price was very reasonable and car was in great condition. Collection and drop off were contactless and worked well. Tassie Car Hire are the best. I personally hired a car many times over 4 1/2 months whilst working near Devonport Tasmania. Vince was reliable flexible and went out of his way to deliver cars to and from the premises I was renting. The cars were spotless and always reliable. I drove all over Tasmania without one problem in many makes of second fleet cars. You can’t get better than the service received from this company!! I have recommended Tassie car hire to all my work colleagues. And they are great value for money!!

Friendly and flexible service, great sporty car that zipped around the east coast with ease. My friends and I hired a car from Tassie Car Rentals for one week and we were very happy with it. The staff was very friendly and the car was spacious (much bigger than expected) and in a good and clean condition. I would definitely book again with this company.

I got to Launceston airport around 8ish pm from Brisbane. I meet Vince and he had a new suv Nissan for me as the car I hired had not been returned for me to rent. The suv was to small. Vince dropped me at my accommodation and through no fault of his own started the hunt for my missing hire car. Mean while 27th and 28th December public holidays. They had no cars left as being peak period his hands were tied. But he still kept at it. Contacted me on the 29th December to let me know that the people who had the car were under covid lock down so out of everybody’s hands. What could he do. Well a lot he managed to get me the same model car for me purchased it and had it ready for me on the 30 th December. I can’t ask for anymore. Tassie car rentals (vince) went over and above for me And started the rental period from the 30th December. I will be using Tassie car rentals for me car rental needs 100% in the future.
