Cairnie Country Cottage

My daughter and I have just stayed three nights at Cairnie. The cottage was beautiful, welcoming, and sparkling. A vase of fresh flowers from their beautiful gardens held scented roses; add home baked cookies, a fire set ready for a match, crisp white sheets and fluffy white towels. Lovely people, and a gracious, highly regarded working property in an area of outstanding beauty.

We are a couple from Victoria, volunteering with Blazeaid in the flood damaged areas west of Walcha. We were looking for one nights accomodation and Jackie and Warwick welcomed us even though the booking was only for one night. We arrived in the dark with our fencing trailer en tow... the fire had been put on, extra wood on the verandah, it was lovely and cozy. We settled in with a warm cuppa and freshly made home made biscuits, waiting for us.It is a gorgeous cottage, with every amenity that you could need. comfy bed, with plenty of linen for cold nights. In the morning we woke to see a frost over the beautifully tended garden, ducks wandering beside the cottage and misty autumn views across the fields.
Supplied was a huge variety of cereals, eggs and bacon, with fresh milk and orange juice, and a crisp loaf of bread. This is a well thought out bed and breakfast, with lots of interesting information of what to do in the area. DVD's and music available.
We stripped the beds and bid farewell to Warwick, only to be delayed by the wet conditions of the roads where we were to deliver the trailer. Humbly we asked if it was ok to stay another night, and yes all good. We took the opportunity to see all the various attractions, Apsley falls, and the national park, sculptures around the town, and enjoyed the home cooked meals from a little shop in town.
As we left our hosts, were incredible, offering a large donation to Blazeaid for the work in community. CEO Kevin Butler, thanked them very much and he said he just can't get over peoples generosity. Thank you so much for hosting us on our way west. Very Much appreciated.

Absolutely wonderful place. Beautiful cottage full of everything you need and surounded by a pretty cottage garden. Lovely hosts. So perfect for a rest & refresh get away. The welcoming home baked cookies were a nice touch and much enjoyed.

This place was cool and green and welcoming. Lovely hosts and an interesting little town. We would have loved to visit the National Park but it was closed due to the fires. The Gin distillery made a great alternative.

Although it was many months ago..Cairnie Cottage was more than I could imagine....plenty of space to think...beautiful people running the property xx

A beautiful place. Everything is exquisite even the products in the bathroom are what we use at home. A gorgeous garden and the house has everything you need.

A great place to stay near Walcha, lovely garden, comfy bed, very well equipped and super nice hosts.

Oh where do I start. We want to move in here.This beautiful place ticks all the boxes. We will be back.
