Nan Yuan

Top notch food with very warm and welcoming hospitality. Its not often you get great service from an asian restaurant.
My personal favourite would be the Braised Pork Belly, just beautiful flavours and very filling.

Nan Yuan is a traditional Chinese restaurant and one of the rare places in Adelaide that serves Peking duck. They also offer Cantonese cuisine, catering to different preferences. I highly recommend their Peking duck, which comes with a variety of accompaniments. They offer a 2-way option, allowing you to enjoy the duck itself as well as a delicious duck bone soup. Another standout dish is their garlic-infused crispy pork chop, which is both crispy and packed with garlicky flavor. The restaurant provides a satisfying dining experience with a range of authentic Chinese dishes to choose from.

Very happy with all the dishes served - very good flavours. We had:
Salt pepper pork hock
Honey glazed bbq pork
Deboned roast duck
Braised tofu
Eggplant hotpot but without meat
Chinese spinach with preserved egg

Food is tasty. We got our food within a reasonable amount of time, but we did notice other tables (esp big group) had to wait a lot longer. The place is busy, but they don't look flustered. They still served you politely (unlike some places where they just throw the plate across the table, without any smile). We didn't feel like we were being rushed, too. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Would return again.

Having good dining experience here with friends, highly recommend pecking duck and Thai crispy fish. Delicious food and good atmosphere. Will come back soon shortly.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Adelaide. Definitely book in advance because the chances to get a table without a booking is slim. A wide variety of dishes and everything is worth the penny.

It was late at night so no pics, however this Chinese Restaurant has the best food for this type of cousine. Everything was packed with flavour, presented beautifully and very generous proportions. If you're in Adelaide and love Chinese food Western style, then you must visit this Restaurant. Highly recommend!

Peking duck is sooooo good. The sauce and crispy skin are way too yum, and it’s the best in Adelaide. The manager recommended us 5 spice squid and seafood tofu which are amazing. Fried rice just average level. But the rest we had are soooo good. Worth to try them!!!!!! 💕💕💕

Dinner at @nan_yuan_restaurant: can't go wrong with good Chinese food 😋. I think the good Peking duck and the yummy crispy pork hock made me keep the 5 star review. Other dishes were good but not really amazing this time.

Sweet and sour fried while fish: this was a super delicious dish! The fish was nicely fried, and the sauce was not overly sweet. Perfect!

Crab roe seafood tofu hotpot: the seafood was very tender, but slightly on the bland side.

E Shan crispy pork hock: omg we looooooved this dish! The pork hock was so perfectly fried. Very tender and flavourful 😍😍.

Crispy salt and pepper eggplant: always one of my favourite dishes. Can't get enough of eggplant 😅😅.

Peking duck: the skin was crispy, and the duck meat was tender and had nice flavours. The pancakes were pretty good too. Overall pretty decent Peking duck 🦆😍🤤.

Greatest Taiwanese restaurant in Adelaide!! The food is excellent and the portion is enough for 4 of us and it cost 132$ which is reasonable for plenty of dishes. However the waiting time is a bit long for the dishes to be delivered (approximately 20-30mims)The Taiwanese beef noodle is sold out and we are looking forward to taste it next time. Definitely need to try this restaurant and will go back very soon!!

Taiwanese cuisine itself is often associated with influences from mid to southern provinces of mainland China, most notably from the south of Fujian (Hokkien) which often leads to it being classified or grouped with 'Southern Fujianese cuisine'. However, influences from all of mainland China can easily be found after the Kuomintang retreat to the island which brought along many mainland Chinese cuisines. A notable Japanese influence also exists due to the period when Taiwan was under Japanese rule. Traditional Chinese food can be found in Taiwan, alongside Fujian and Hakka-style as well as native Taiwanese dishes, including dishes from Guangdong, Jiangxi, Chaoshan, Shanghai, Hunan, Sichuan and Beijing.

Had a Banquet for my partners sons 21st. Food was plentiful .Staff were very accomadating would highly recomend ..Good service.

Recently opened Chinese restaurant on Goodwood Road. The food was of very high standard with splendid presentations. We absolutely loved every single dish that we ordered and couldn't fault any of them. Service was warm and friendly. Highly recommend.

Best Dry fried string bean I have ever had in my life!!! Singaporean fried noodles was amazing too!!

Went to the restaurant for a family dinner. We have been before so we already knew the food was going to be great. We ordered quite a bit of food. Unfortunately there was a bit of confusion and some of the dishes were forgotten. Meaning we had to wait quite a while to get all of our dishes served. Regardless the owners came out and apologised, offered us a discount and a few drinks on the house.

Not many businesses offer this kind of service after making a tiny mistake. It was so incredibly kind of them to do. I would highly recommend giving them a go.

Great people and great food!

Love this place! Been back twice now and very happy with both times. We don't live nearby but every time we're on that side of town at mealtime, we will be heading there. Great assortment of high quality dishes.

Have eaten here twice since moving to the area and boy is it good! Cute little spot friendly service and the food is amazing! Bit pricey but totally worth it.. tried about 6 different dishes and they have all been amazing ... highly recommend this..best Chinese I've found in Adelaide hands down

Great food, traditional Chinese restaurant, very nice atmosphere.

A lovely environment for a meal. The food was fresh and well cooked. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very busy with dine-in customers. That tells of the quality of food. Out of area for us but certainly a place we would go to again.
The manager of the night made sure he welcomed us personally.
