Walcha Royal Cafe & Accommodation

Love staying here if I'm in the area. It is comfortable and charming, and the proprietor is very welcoming and friendly. Hope to return again someday.
Also, good food and coffee to be had. Look out for the barbed wire snowman.

Did not expect a regional town to have one of the best coffees i've tasted - Regards, A snobby coffee Melbournian. cake was great as well not too rich and amongst the big willow and nice garden - no where if rather be atm

Wanted to do the Walcha Parkrun, so booked myself in to the Royal for the night. Lovely old pub. Rooms were clean, tidy and the services were great. The service was first rate. After Parkrun I had breakfast. Food was nice as I sat in front of the fire. There is a real country atmosphere at the Royal that I really loved. The surprise highlight was the roof art. I only found it because I was sticky beaking, opened a bathroom window and saw them. They look scary, so be careful when you point them out to the kids. Very nice country touch. Definitely the place to stay in Walcha.

We stayed overnight here and enjoyed breakfast the next day. Very clean, very friendly. Food is excellent, we would definitely stay/visit again. Toni and the staff are lovely. The room was very comfortable, loved that there was easy access to the verandah. The bathrooms & toilets are shared, they are extremely clean and plenty of hot water ❤ Loved the whole experience.

Had morning tea. Best chocolate slice. Had to buy a extra piece for afternoon tea.

Stayed here for a week & a half for work. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Toni and I am very grateful to her. She offered to make myself and crew lunches/dinners if we wanted, and the one time I had her food it was delicious.

The entire vibe of the place is also just really fun and interesting, with lots of things I wish I'd had more time to explore.

Our rooms were cosy, with a small table & chairs as well as convenient sink/mirror. The bed was also very comfortable, with great pillows and the rooms were cleaned every few days. The bathrooms were shared but very clean..

I would absolutely recommend staying here over anywhere else in town!

A must do "halfway" lunch. Nundle-Pt Mac.

Came here for lunch with a big family group. Lots of character, delicious food, nice atmosphere, cosy with multiple fires and lounge chairs, good value and good service. Would go there again when stopping by Walcha.

It was a great meal, the coffee was nice, and the food was full of flavour. The outdoors seating was awesome, definitely worth stopping at.

Well worth a visit. Lots of quirky interesting touches, memorabilia, sculptures. Popular with motorbike riders & noticed a few locals signed in as well. Outdoor dining in multiple pretty settings in the garden or on the balcony.

Great place to stop for a break.. heaps of shade and parking for bikes

Awesome place. Lots of memorabilia and delicious food. I sat in front of the roaring fire after riding Thunderbolts Way from Gloucester and thawed out. Great place can't wait to go back

We've stayed here for many years now and love it every time. They're so accomodating for us and it's a great place to park high value cars in a secure spot as well.

Dinner and breakfast is great, especially for such a little town. And the atmosphere and style of the hotel is really lovely.

You can either stay in the main building, each room has a small sink. And there are large bathrooms for men and women.

Or you can stay in the small flat next to the building which I believe sleeps up to 4, with it's own lounge area and bathroom.

There's a fireplace upstairs and downstairs, and is a great place to chill!

Comfortable, quaint guesthouse. Themed with motorcycles, engines, Fire Rescue NSW helmets, old fuel bowsers and many more little things. Toni the host went out of her way to be accommodating and helpful. I would stay again if in the local area.

Great food, great coffee, friendly service, lots of memorabilia to check out. Very impressed!

We call this our good luck café. Every time we stop here the clouds clear, the rain stops an the great riding begins. Fantastic coffee, great breakfasts, friendly staff. All up a great spot to sit out the front and watch the world go by!

Good atmosphere. Great spot to visit if you’re doing the Thunderbolt’s Way drive. Lots of motorbike riders stop here for lunch. The Walcha Royal Cafe looks like a pub, but it’s a cafe. Friendly and efficient staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great spot to rest after a long drive.

Amazing place to stay. Lovely clean rooms. Great service.
