The atmosphere in the pub/hotel is so welcoming and friendly, a good drink selection and great food. The rooms are so clean and comfortable with wonderful hot showers. Can't rate you and the Walcha Road Hotel high enough.

I can only imagine what the place will be like when you have truly stamped your mark on it and brought it back to its glory, and we can not wait to come back.

We enjoy this place, the locals and the chilled out time we have.

April 2024 Update: The new owners are fun, the beers include European largers, the food menu is not set in stone and most of everything is created on site. I.e. We are locals and are enjoying the change.

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great the bar was packed with friendly locals. Stayed for the night the room was clean no TV but when you can spend time in the bar it's not needed. Our hosts were awesome and the complementary breakfast was just as good as our dinner. We will be back.

Special lunchtime train trip to Walcha Rd. Very enjoyable experience. Staff at Walcha Rd were lovely and coped amazingly well with over 90 customers arriving at once. The meals were great. Staff very helpful with organising some of the elderly train passengers back to the train as well

Wow, what an amazing pub to stay at. We do alot of overnight stays in pubs on the motorbike and this would have to be one of the top pubs weve stayed at. Truly amazing. Amazing staff, very friendly locals, cosy, tidy, clean accomodation, amazing food and cosy bar with open fireplace in the bar and bistro. And the included breakfast with accommodation just topped the experience and made us feel very spoilt. This is a must do experience. Even assisted with off rode parking for the bike. We will most certainly be back.

Est. 1860! Great food from the award-winning kitchen. Friendly publican who is happy to provide info about the district. Three modern rooms available for guests. Even a fireplace in the bar!

Great find.. ist class food. Quiet location. Definitely worth a detour from the highway.

Whatever you order you'll be thrilled. Just wonderful. Very old out of the way little hotel. Had a wonderful lunch with friends. Have to give it 5 stars. Can't fault the food or service or atmosphere.

Stopped here on a Wednesday for lunch Had the best steak and barramundi we have had for a long time Quick service by nice lady.Will certainly be back again.

Great spot to stop for a beer & feed, especially the Chicken Burger 👌🏽😜spectacular motorbike riding up & around the area, well worth it!

Gary and Suesann, the proprietors of the Walcha Road Hotel, showed their community spirit and generosity by providing a hot breakfast to the nearly 30 attendees of the dawn service on ANZAC day. Much appreciated.

A hidden little gem. Rooms are clean and nice. No TV in rooms, free Wi-Fi. Awesome place to stay. Foods good.
