Amazing collection and a wide variety of rocks. Beautiful stones from all around the world and two iconic cars. It is wonderful to see how well kept his 1978 Holden is as well as the many stones and gems. Many options to choose from if one is interested in purchasing a gemstone. Maurie is a great oldie, and is very knowledgeable and passionate about his collection. Thank you so much!

This is a truly unique place. Part museum and part shop all in a house. Crystals galore with super fair prices. The man who owns this, Maurie, is a wealth of knowledge on crystals and fossils and much more. A visit here is a wonderful experience!

I first went to The Rockery in Longwood a few years ago and was stunned by the huge variety and quantity of both specimens and items for sale. This was a big surprise in such a small town when I had not been expecting much at first. In addition, I found Maurie, the owner, is a man of great knowledge in many fields. Everything he has for sale or on exhibit is high quality and beautifully displayed. A shopper or visitor to the museum can ask anything and Maurie is happy to spend the time to give easily understood but also technical answers.

Great gem shop and rock museum. Some absolutely beautiful stuff on display and the owner Maurie is very knowledgeable. The gem shop is very reasonably priced as well. I would definitely recommend stopping in.

The Rockery is a must visit for anyone traveling to Seymour or surrounds. There's an amazing display of gems and crystals plus the stories that the owner Maurie tells are also truly a gem.

His warm and friendly nature definitely makes it even more worth the visit

I absolutely loved it there, i could spend forever looking at the massive collection and spending my money aha. Maurie has so much interesting knowledge and facts about it all and made it just alot better, Definitely worth the hour drive🥰

Great little place to visit, Morris was very engaging and told us great stories of his travels.... there are toilets and you purchase tea and coffee....

Definitely a very expansive exhibition of gemstones, rocks, fossils and memorabilia. Absolutely must go and snap up a bargain or just marvel at the amazing collection

Me and my friend visited and its a truly special place filled with wonderful and unique treasures. Maurie is wonderful and has a wealth of knowledge and interesting stories. Amazing place. A huge variety of colours and shapes. Some sculptured some natural. 9 rooms full. The owner is well versed on the subject. Highly recommended.

An easy detour off the Hume at Longwood and well worth a visit if you love your rocks (like I do 😉) An excellent display of both museum pieces and crystals for purchase. It was great to have a chat with Maurie and I am very happy with the purchases I made. Maurie kindly provided the names and locations for each gem stone. Great service, I’ll be back!

Beautiful place, really wonderful and wonder-filled! Make sure to check out the glowing crystals and all the additions such as teeth, fossils etc. I love this place. The lovely man, he was unwell but i am so glad he is back. This is so worth a trip, it should be on a bus tour of the old areas of outer Melb! No higher recommendation for any crystal place is deserved. The jewellery, crystals, stones and even when he offers you a leather necklace and makes it himself for you, it is all very special. Amazing find! Could spend hours there. A remarkable place and Maurie is so knowledgeable and passionate. My daughter Ella absolutely loved it! Thanks Maurie for opening your wonderful collection to the public. Prices were also very reasonable. Will be back!

What a hidden gem this place is. Maurie rocks and the whole place is a diamond in the rough. It will take you a while to dig through all the rocks but it's well worth it. Ask to pat Mack the puppy dog, he is gold. ❤

love murry such a sweet man. accidentally forgot a pair of earrings. called the next day, and he was very willing to send them my mail to me. he is such a wealth of knowledge, and not just on crystals. i have been coming to the rockery from a very young age, and will continue coming for years to come. he is honestly the best!
