Morwell River Falls Reserve

Beautiful unexplored waterfall. From the road it's about a 10 mins walk to the fall. You can go really close to the fall & there used to be a swing near the fall, but it's no longer there. There is also a track to view the top pool section of the fall. You can also find some nice quiet spots along the Morwell River river to camp.

Approximately 165 km from Melbourne CBD & about 50 km from Taralgon, Morewell river falls reserve boolarra, is indeed something like a hidden gem. You can easily go past this place and not know it existed, until you come across the signboard. There's a fair amount of walk involved on steep uneven ground and wooden stairs/steps which can be very slippery on wet or rainy days. But once you make it to the waterfalls, the views are just breathtaking... with only the sound of the waterfalls breaking the silence of the wilderness which surrounds the area. On a dry/sunny day this place is ideal for an outing/picnic and best avoided on wet/rainy days. Certain amount of fitness would be beneficial here.

A bit far but easy to reach and a short walk to the waterfall. Beautiful place surrounded with high forest trees and the waterfall temperature is icy but good to dip in during the hot summer days. Nice place to have picnic with family.

What an amazing little hide away beautiful place a must see

Excellent waterfalls to visit. Best part is that you can get as close to water as you want to. Swim, take photos, enjoy. Short but steep walk from car park, slippery at sections but not hard at all, just watch your steps. Drive in through gravel road, really well maintained so no issue for any car in dry conditions.

Another beautiful part of Latrobe. A beautiful drive amongst gums and ferns. You follow the river the
whole way. Nice walk down to the waterfalls.

Very pretty drive in along the river road. The falls are great but the scenery around them even better. Amazing stone stairs.

2.5hr drive from Melbourne. This place was absolutely amazing. The Eucalyptus trees just Tower above, so mystical.

Nice tranquil falls close to civilization. Picnic table at top. No bins but not hard to take home rubbish. Some tracks slippery when its wet. Worth the visit. Has a bit of local history.
