Dan’s wine cellar was a cool little surprise in our cheeky late arvo winetasting stop. The pinot was rich and bold without being too overpowering. Dan is very lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Loooove finding little hidden gems like this. ❤

Went to Drummonds winery cellar door 🌿🌲🌲
Seems to specialise in Pinot Noir he has white wines too.
I got the 2008 Pinot he had in stock because some others were sold out.
Very nice wine. Almost Port like on the nose. Stewed red fruits, very smooth and slightly smokey 🍷
Probably most rustic cellar door that I’ve seen

Purchased as a bottle to share in celebration on a future date with circumstances unknown.

I've come back to amend this review to note the stunning '08 Pinot, enjoyed watching the sun set with a rough yet satisfying local Inverloch pizza (purchased separately), will remain in my mindseye for life.

An important memory for my wife and I as the first family holiday with our beautiful 7 month old daughter.

Kudos to Dan and his family (beautiful Millie) for what they have produced. An absolutely stunning organic wine, a wonderful and eclectic location and a terrific experience for those looking for a memory.

This is the best pinot noir I have ever had! If you have had Gippsland pinot noir from Victoria, Australia then you will understand. Of course, I have not had every one out there, but you get the picture that I love this. It is beautifully hand crafted in small batches to maintain the quality. It pours a little cloudy as it is unfiltered and so this is not only natural but intended. It is smooth, with a good body and sweet, jammy fruit notes. But, this is NOT a dessert wine (so not that sweet). This is a great drop to have either on its own or with a meal. The vineyard is small, boutique and not at all commercial. If visiting, it is about meeting the owner and having a talk which will ultimately lead to you buying some great wines from a great bloke. Cheers.

We have been coming to visit Dan every year, what a great guy and fantastic wine. Top quality Pinot! Great cellar door and Dan is always so friendly and up for a chat. We will be back next year. 5 stars! And look out for Milly 🐶

Just stopped by looking for a place to eat; Dan is a wonderful man with a great eye for decor (love the Che Guevara made of bottle caps in particular). Super helpful, and the wines were gorgeous. Seeing the tag "trans friendly" was definitely a big plus for our visit; it's a tumultuous time for us, so it made me feel so much more comfortable for the few minutes we were there. Thanks, Dan!

A hidden gem offering world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a 30 year old organic vineyard. Dan is the owner, grower and cellar door manager! A lovely bloke and as humble as his wines are exceptional and well priced. Truly outstanding - finding places like this is such a joy. I would suggest the Pinot is amongst the very best in Australia - elegant, ethereal, utterly yummy; redolent of great Burgundy for a fraction of the cost. So good I hesitated to write a review, wanting the place to remain hidden for purely selfish reasons!

Drummond is extremely hospitable with a great sense of humour. A Bob Dylan fan with great wine art in his man cave. Currently selling a back vintage 2012 Pinot which is probably the best value (and great tasting) wine in the region.

A fabulous hidden gem in South Gippsland. Great to spend some time with Danny and resident dog Milly - learning about the vineyard history, delicious wine and the land surrounding. The Premium Pinot Noir is an absolute stand out. We will be back!

Can I know if the wine cellar open during 12th or 13th Oct?

Great little winery, they specialise in Pinot Noir, they had four types on offer, they also had a Chardonnay on offer when we were there.

They have a small tasting room and a small offering ( 5 wines total), there are a few Artworks on display by the owner in the garden.

Great eclectic place to pop into but not somewhere if you want to have a sit and eat, it’s not that kind of place.

About Venus Bay
Township in Australia

Venus Bay is a wide bay and a township on that bay on the east coast of Victoria, Australia. At the 2016 census Venus Bay had a population of 944. The name Venus Bay was given to the bay by a French expedition under Nicholas Baudin. This was apparently after George Bass's trading ship the Venus. The town of Venus Bay is situated on a narrow peninsula of land located 180 km south-east of Melbourne. Originally named Evergreen the town takes its name from the body of water on its western shore. On the eastern side of the peninsula is Anderson's Inlet, named after the settler Samuel Anderson. source
