The Bay Gourmet

Really enjoy the morning ritual of getting a takeaway coffee from the Bay Gourmet and then walking among the plentiful tea trees to the Venus Bay beachfront.
Coffee is full flavoured and the cafe has a friendly vibe. Recommend 👍

Being an off season and quite day the options weren’t as wide as normal. However, there were still plenty of baked options of pies, sausage rolls, bagels etc. I did notice a sensational looking vanilla slice and a lovely selection of home baked slices including a caramel slice. Most of all, the service of the very friendly lady made this a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I would also like to add that she was very kind on offering a gluten free toasted sandwich option. Couldn’t resist a take away homemade gluten free banana bread.

We love visiting The Bay Gourmet every chance we get, the food is always amazing and the staff are so friendly. A great range of locals goodies to purchase too!

Great little place for brunch almost every morning. Family friendly and dog friendly establishment. Very friendly staff and just a quick walk from the beach and most accommodations in Venus bay proper. Definitely will be back with family and friends.

Though l only stayed one night, l was impressed by the cabin, it was clean and well maintained, also the camp was close to shops.

the bay gourmet is best place for me to get my coffee on the way to the beach and I always take home some goodies home for the family keep up the great work

Great service, fantastic burgers, fresh fruit juices, lots of extras in the shop (jams, wine and gift packs). GF and lactose free options available. You can eat at the front, inside or at the back patio. They are also dog friendly, with bowls of water served for your puppy with every meal outside! Easy access and plenty of parking in the street.

Beautiful breakfast, coffee and smoothies. We were staying in the local caravan park and came here three times for breakfast out of the four days we stayed in Venus Bay. The area was super busy, yet the quality of food and service was not compromised. Not sure why it has 3.8 stars when everything was actually fantastic!

Great breaky wrap and coffee. We got there a bit later and they were nearly out of options. But otherwise awesome!

So good! The food was hot and tasty and the service came with a smile. Best value cup of tea on the coast.... an enormous pot kept me going all lunchtime. Casual and clean, this is my new local cafe. I will be back within days

Nice coffee and freshly baked muffins - I had a savoury muffin which was served with a generous amount of butter and tomato relish. Staff also very lovely. Family friendly (although not sure if there are nappy change facilities). Lots of gluten free options too.

Friendly and helpful staff serving great coffee and delicious fresh banana bread. Our kids loved it! Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when dealing with a rude and unreasonable customer.

We stopped for a coffee and found this little gem. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, great coffee and we took lasagne and salad. Dinner sorted.

I love this joint and go almost daily when we're in town. Bangin' coffee and they can do all your funny milks no problem. Friendly service and delicious food.

Delightful little cafe with yummy food, , good coffee, excellent friendly service, hidden but wonderful rear courtyard, unusually clean & practical restrooms. Should be more of these good quality cafes !

Gluten free banana bread was the best I have tasted and made me up a gluten free toasty, even had friendly staff what more could you ask for.

A great cafe that keeps getting better. So grateful to have this cafe in Venus, where I have been coming all my life. Very good and consistent coffee (with all available variants), super friendly staff and very enjoyable food. Toilets are spotless, great courtyard too. Keep up the good work.
