Kemps Bakery Wandong

We stopped by this bakery for lunch. The coffee was excellent, and the salad rolls were made to order. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Loved the prices, and the friendly service provided by the ladies working there too! Hope to visit again one day.

Bakery with all the usual suspects plus much more. Standard is Very high quality pies, cakes, bread at a reasonable price. Baked fresh. Choices reduce dramatically after lunch due to its popularity with locals and travellers passing through. Recommend drop in if your in the area. Playground and toilets situated opposite make for a good break/quick picnic spot if touring.

Absolutely scrumptious traditional bakery food and great coffee. I almost dismissed it as the shopfront looks very average, but once inside I got excited, bought a tonne and found it good value. It made my day.

Best fresh salad rolls you will ever have. I drive 30 mins just for them. 10/10 best bakery iv ever seen in these areas by far

Stopped in for a coffee before work and met Will. What a lovely young man. It’s was so nice to be greeted with someone who cares about his customers and locals. The coffee was amazing, and I’ll be back every morning for my lactose free vanilla latte. Thanks Will.

Average bakery that does have the potential to be great but not there yet

Have really tried to give Kemps a couple of goes but every time I do it’s just disappointing. Donuts taste undercooked and extremely greasy, and the party pies had the strangest taste/texture. Ordered a ciabatta and upon picking it up, it’s definitely not fresh - seems like it was either frozen and defrosted or a couple of days old, the whole thing is crumbly and dense. If it was cooked fresh, I would highly recommend a change of industries for the baker.

Hi I'm a resident of Wandong/HJ for 11 years. I have bought regular from you but in the last six months approximately the bread is nowhere near as fresh as it was previously, we used to actually really look forward to getting it but sadly not anymore. I know you have replied to other reviews along this line saying nothing has changed but my family are saying that the freshness of the bread has definitely changed. Also today I went and got two iced donuts that were definitely not fresh as previously and luke warm sausage roll. Sorry but I don't think I will be frequenting your business as much as I used to, if at all unless it's products return to the way that' they used to be.The service is always great. Thanks you.

The bread doesn’t seem to be as fresh and soft as it used to be also doesn’t last as long

Under staffed. 20 minutes for a coffee. Will go with out next time.
