Coming up from Melbourne we stopped here for lunch and were not disappointed. The service was great and friendly, the publican was welcoming and there was a good atmosphere. The food was worth the drive…I had ribs and my husband had a Parma. Neither of us was disappointed. Reasonably priced and well worth stopping in if you’re in the area. Highly recommend.

Popped in today for lunch. Food was nice and the chips are amazing. Ben the new owner is super friendly keep it up mate. Definitely get that country pub vibe here worth the stop. I will be back

Our son lives near by, and we often drop in for a beer. Warm fire, friendly service and great locals to have a beer with.

The service here is amazing. The staffs are all so lovely and friendly with our kid. The set up is simple but very good. We definitely recommend to anyone who pass here.

Lovely, easy going and welcoming pub. Great food and service. We arrived after dark and it was getting cold, so did not get to see the beer garden, but there is one. Very relaxing after a long drive, to sit by the fire and rest up.

Lovely trinkets and pictures all over the walls. Sat right next to the fire place which was great. Very friendly staff who are genuine and down to earth. The parmas were fresh and delicious. Next time we will save time for a game of pool. Thanks guys! You’ve nailed it.

I had the most magnificent pizza. Not what I expected but this was as good as I’ve had. Met the owner who is a lovely young fella. Get around them if you can. The beer was cold, the pizza was hot and the conversation was fantastic. A great country pub worthy of a stop.

Stopped for a family diner on the way back from Grampians. It is a pub with a lot of character, locals were friendly, town is cute, food was good and home made, just ticked all the boxes. Worth the 1,2 km detour! We need to support places like this instead of petrol station fast food.

Great place for a quiet drive culminating in a great lunch. The food was wonderful. Cooked just right. The service was spot on. ( and loved the play list in the background...lol). Can't wait to return

Came here for a father's day gathering which turned out to be a fantastic day! Very good pub meals and staff were excellent.

Great food would come again with friends

We went to Ballarat a fortnight ago and didn't have time to drive through Gordon on our way home, so said we'd make the effort to visit soon. Decided last week to take my family back to Gordon and after reading all the great reviews, I booked into the pub for lunch. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Very friendly staff and service. Michelle let me taste a white wine before buying a bottle. My Dad and partner shared a bottle of red which they also enjoyed. We ordered garlic bread (and enough came out for the 6 of us), 2 parma's, a schnitzel, lamb shanks, lamb salad and salt & pepper calamari. The meals were delicious, a good size and reasonably priced. The chips were amazing too and deserve a mention. Excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, have told many friends about it and we know we'll be back. Keep up the great work and we'll see you again. Cheers.

For a little country pub it exceeds expectations. The food is better than most restaurants you go to, the Steak is huge and cooked to perfection, with a side of fries, salad or veges which are all really fresh. The kids meals are decent portions with free ice-cream. The adults desserts are absolutely delicious, we've stopped in 3 times in the last 2 weeks we've been here from Nz and are looking at moving to the area. This will definitely be a regular for our family. Staff are really welcoming and we loved listening to the ukulele practice.

New owners who are having a crack at changing the pub. Can't wait to see what it's like in the months to come!! Went for a meal, got served, the food was fresh, and they were friendly, which is a 100% improvement! Thank God we have a local we can go to now!

Popped in for a meal on our way out west and was greeted by the very friendly new owners. Parma was unbelievable. Would do the 2 hour drive from home to have it again. We'll done guys.

Great food, 10 out of 10. I travel 30 mins each way just to eat here. Go on a Wednesday night for some surprise entertainment, you won't be disappointed! Good service, cold drinks. True Aussie pub.
