Go at dusk!!!

Went in the morning saw nothing but a snake. Went again at 5pm two days in a row - saw so many cutie wombats, wallabies, roos and a few emus! Best free outdoor wild zoo ever, I'm glad i skipped the animal sanctuaries in Aussie this time. One of my favourite holiday experiences ever. A wombat even walked next to my foot.

Absolutely amazing place! Heaps of kangaroos, emus and a couple of wombats. Best to visit at dusk.

This walk is amazing. We've been a couple of times and can definitely recommend going there at dusk. There are loads of animals and they are quite tame (meaning you can get quite close to them). We have seen wombats, kangaroos, wallabies, lizards and emus (in the distance). The walk is really nice and you get to see different types of nature. Lots of parking spaces and it's never been too crowded. If you want to see animals, this is the place to go.

So much to see and do. A lot of walking trails along the way, as some of them were a bit time consuming we didn't get round to doing them. Will definitely come back with more time to have a better look round!

This is a great spot one of the best in Prom.
We did a short walk would say about 20 minutes one side. We were able to spot at least 30+ kangaroos in groups, 2 koalas and many birds like Hooded Plovers and red Cockatoos. The walk was very peaceful especially if you are coming from metro regions. Its a Quiet and beautiful place. Not any serious hikes involved also suitable for senior citizens and children.

This is a good walk, not too much vertical. Loads of stunning views across the national park. Easy parking. Great little spot to havea cool dip by the river. Fairly shallow and kid friendly. No crocks!

It’s a really great place to walk around and see native Australian animals - wallabies or kangaroos, wombats and emus. I’ve been there a few times over the years and it always never disappoints.

It was fun trying to look out for the wild animals during the walk and we spotted some kangaroos and wombats. If you spot them, stay as quiet as possible and not get too near and disturb them.

I came when the sun was about to set and saw many wombat and emu. One of them approached me and sniffed around; it was an amazing experience.

Love this place! Visited close to sunset with many kangaroos grazing around and super duper cute wombats out at this hour! I've never seen wombats in the wild before, it's exciting not just for kids but for adults like me! About 9 of them at different spots (yeah I counted lol). Some wombats are shy but some are brave enough to allow people around to take photos/videos. probably used to visitors around (so long we maintain a comfortable distance). The walking path is with uneven ground at some stretches, evening can be chilling with cold wind from south, bring along windproof jacket just in case. Coupled with visiting beautiful beaches around Wilson's Prom, worth the travel all the way from Melbourne. :)

managed to see some emus and woke up some kangaroos from their siesta 😈😂
It was very hot day so not much wildlife was out and I have seen kangaroos sleeping, so maybe choose a nice weather day to see more, looks like these roos don't like much sun too

2.5km loop track. Couple of kangaroos, one with color and ear tags, wasn't sure if he was a real one at first, saw some emu's as well.

The perfect walk to spot kangaroos, wallaby, bird and wombats. It's a easy walk that takes about 40min. We saw about 15 kangaroos one wallaby and one wombat. The best time is 1hour before sunset, that's when the animal starts too become active.

Great place to see some elusive wildlife roaming free, and not as roadkill! Saw emus, wallabies, kangaroos and wombats in a matter of minutes, and you can get up close away from traffic. Rest of the national park is pretty beautiful too! Highly recommended!

We visited around lunch time and didn’t see much at all and after reading other reviews recommending to visit in the evening, we came back at 5pm to try our luck again and weren’t disappointed.

The walk is very easy to do, just keep an eye out to avoid all the droppings :)

So worth going here within 5 minutes we had seen 3 wombats and 3 emus. Amazing place to spot wildlife.

Our second time here, first time overnight hiking. Had a night tidal river then hiked over to sealers cove, then onto refuge cover and little Waterloo bay where we camped for the night. Then a relatively easy hike back to tidal river. It is beautiful here. Cannot recommend it enough whether it's for a day visit or over night.

So good ! We saw so many kangaroos and a handful of emus too, no wombats but I suspect they’re nocturnal? Very nice walk would highly recommend
