Great dinner experience. My husband and I had a very nice dining experience at The Plough Inn. Staff were exceptionally friendly, the menu was extensive and very generous serves. Loved the rustic atmosphere. Such lovely ambiance.
I accidentally knocked my wine glass off the table and before I knew it the staff arrived with a replacement free of charge and cleaned up quickly. We will be back for sure.

Made a table booking for lunch here on a beautiful Spring Saturday, never been before so thought we'd check it out, what a magnificent place! Absolutely loved this pub, staff were super friendly and we were very quickly seated outside in the gardens, no problems when we asked to sit at a different table in the sun, food was top notch and we liked how the menu included smaller sized meals of the same pub classics for significantly cheaper than the full sized meals, perfect for lunchtime. My Crispy skin Salmon was to die for, the missus's steak was perfectly cooked to her specification, my boys each has the parmi and the Snitzel and veg with chips.
The beer garden was really lovely and so big! A very friendly Celpie wandering around the beer garden was a lot of fun for my boys.
Would definitely visit again.

Great pub, welcoming hosts and staff, plus the work’s friendliest dog. Always happy locals around, plenty of space indoors and outside to suit the weather and your vibe. Good menu range. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. Great value. Plenty of parking.

Could not love this place any harder. The atmosphere is top notch with the Friday night music absolutely PERFECT. Food was delicious (steaks done to perfection and kids thrilled with their selection) and wine local and tasty. Our only regret is that Percy managed to steal my daughter’s pizza!

A night out at one of our favourite pubs. The meals are generous and well priced and the service is excellent. The main eating area currently features some fine art from Jack Macale, a Fitzroy Crossing artist. The Plough Inn is one of five galleries making up the North East Aboriginal Art Trail.

A new art exhibition has been hung featuring prominent Lockhart River Arts artists, Adrian King, Rosella Namok, Fiona Omeenyo and her mother Irene Omeenyo. The paintings enhance the dining area which stands on the site of the original hotel which was erected in 1861. When the structure burned down, the existing hotel was was built in 1864.

The outdoor dining area is largely covered by a very old wisteria which was planted in the 1860's. An olive tree believed to be the world's tallest dominates a paddock to the side of the pub. It was planted in the 1850's.

Lunch is booked for the weekend and my wife and I look forward to once again enjoying the great food and atmosphere in this historic pub.

Absolutely fantastic pub. Outdoor beer garden provided shade with ample space.
Great porterhouse steak, friendly service and dog friendly. All pubs need a resident doggo and Percy didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend.

Great range of local beers and wines, interesting food options. We really enjoyed our lunch in the beer garden - a very short detour on a road trip from Melbourne to regional NSW, and so much better than a fast food service centre! Lunch was the deconstructed lamb burger.

Overnight Pub free stays are wonderful and the Plough Inn is up there with the best. We had lunch here and the food was top notch. Not just your normal tastless pub meal. My creamy chicken pie was hot which is just the way I like it and packed with taste. The Inn has a warm homely atmosphere enhansed by the nice publican and staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. 5+ Stars.

After frequenting the Plough Inn Tarrawingee for many amazing lunches and dinners we decided it would be the perfect backdrop for our Wedding Day. Cate and Phil were amazing from start to finish making the process enjoyable and easy. The day is everything we could have asked for and more; all our guests were in awe of our venue, the food and the service.

What a fantastic pub. The beer garden is fantastic. Plenty of seating, lots of shade, heaters and a fire pit. Huge grassed area for the kids to run around in. Cate and Phil are so hospitable. Lots of cool little touches to make it unique and tie the history of the pub into it. Food was good and a pleasant surprise. I had the garlic and herb chicken and they were cooked to perfection. Everyone on our table enjoyed their meals! Great selection on the menu too. Thoroughly enjoyable. We will be back for sure.

Great food and huge beer garden. Very friendly pub dog, Percy, 10 months. He had only just learned to put his head on your lap for food so do not encourage him by feeding.

Booked for 18, on a Saturday lunch, service was good , food cake out quickly and was very tasty. Everything you expect from a country pub.

I drove past every day on my way to and from work, car park is always full. Worth the short drive from Wang

Went about for dinner with a friend and had a wonderful time. I was greeted by the pub pup named Percy and watched as Percy greeted every single person who walked in. The atmosphere was comfortable with a big fireplace going and the dining room was nice and warm and though full was not overly loud. I was excited to order their special of Gumbo and was not disappointed. There was so much flavour and the meat simply melting in my mouth.
Small town family feels but very welcoming all round, I look forward to heading back in summer to enjoy the beer garden.
