The Prince Alfred Hotel

After a huge meal that was bloody great, the band came on and played awesome tunes all night, I just enough of my favourite tap beer to get up on stage and say a poem that I haven't said in 30 years or more.
I completely butchered it but the locals and staff cheered me on the whole time.
It's a great place with great people.

I read all the reviews before asking my carer to go there. I read one bad review and they didn't even eat a meal there and went to Gunalda instead. I have eaten at the pub in Gunalda and the two pubs in Tiaro, plus many in Gympie and The Prince Alfred Hotel (The Gundy Pub) wins hands down. Dan the man is a wonderful host. My prawns, chips and salad is the best I have had in my 2 years in Qld. My carer really enjoyed his beef burger. Definitely going back again so my carer can have their parmy with home made sauce and me a snitty. The menu looks great. A lovely old country pub.

We only had breakfast here but the staff were the nicest and best trained staff ever. Its not often you go somewhere and everyone is just so great. Food was good and pricing was ok

Prince Alfred Hotel @ Gundiah is a quaint 1940's style pub with cold beer and plenty of choices for food. Up from Brisbane for the day. Well worth a visit to sample the country life. Lots of weekend entertainment! The verandah is great to stay cool and enjoy the ambience of 'The Gundy Pub'

Gorgoues old QLD pub...wide range of fresh, healthy , large well priced meals. Excellent music jam last Saturday night of the month...worth the country week end drive

Got to the pub a bit late but the publican and his wife cooked me up a steak chips and salad which was cooked perfect and let me have a couple of beers while cleaning up great hosts n great pub with a camp out the back you don't get much better anywhere

Great hosts - and if your camping, they have campgrounds with all tour needs.
