Congratulations to staff and management at Hotel royal Torrensville, Friday 13 October 2023.
My wife`s friend booked a table for four, for a 6pm meal. Our friends arrived early and were seated at the table in the outside covered area. We arrived at 5.50pm thanks to plenty of car park at the back of the premises and went to their table. What happened next needs to be commended.
Service excellence.
It was cold and unfortunately the music was a bit loud as we were seated next to the speaker, Our friend asked if we could be placed at another table, or if heater can be turned on and music turned down.(This was actually done.) Within 2 minuets the young waiter came out and said there was a table inside that has become available if we would like that. He stated he will be "a minute to clean the table and then we were welcomed to that table". Talk about service excellence.
Our water was brought out we looked at the menu then we went to order.
We ordered garlic bread for the table and our meals and our drinks, we asked if bill can be split 50/50 and this was done, we paid and went to be seated.
I could not believe how fantastic this place is, the garlic bread was delivered to the table within 6 minutes. 6 minutes later our mains was brought to the table. I had the beef schnitzel and my wife had the harvest bowl.
By the time we had decided to leave it was 9.40pm (How time fly`s with good company, venue, atmosphere, service and good food with drinks.)
Absolutely amazing place to eat out, the food and the atmosphere at this place is just incredible. Very friendly service with variety many options on the menu to choose from. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Lovely afternoon lunch with friends, the food was great. Jazz our waitress was exceptional, a credit to the business. Looking forward to seeing the place when renovations are complete.

We booked a table of five for dinner this evening and my daughter who has epilepsy, had a tremor and spilt her drink all over the menus and the table. I honestly could not have asked for a better response from your attentive staff on shift tonight, they were calm under pressure and made our experience feel valued and respected despite what had just occurred. They jumped into action, cleaned up the existing table and moved our table and our order over to the next corresponding table so that we were comfortable and could eat our dinner! Service is impeccable and dinner was delicious. Thank you!

Highly recommend. Had my son’s wedding reception in the upstairs function room at the Hotel Royal it was fantastic . So well organised by Lucy, who attended to our every need leading up to the event and on the night - nothing was too difficult. The food was plentiful and delicious. Room was perfect and well equipped with everything we needed. Staff were brilliant every single one of them - girls behind the bar and waiters/waitresses catered to our every need and were so helpful and happy - such a pleasure to deal with. Even going the next day to collect all our wedding paraphernalia was made easy and enjoyable by staff. Can’t wait to book another function here - we will definitely be back. Thanks so much

What a great re-vamp of this hotel. The new beer garden and restaurant look great. Good service and our snack was tasty.

Overall, a nice night out - the food is pretty good. The portions and quality is there. We ordered fried chicken taquitos and chicken wings for appetizers. The taquitos were really good, and the wings were good, but pretty typical pub style.

Mains were chicken nachos and a chicken burrito, which were also pretty good.

For drinks we had pina coladas and margaritas, and I ended up also having a Corona (which strangely was served without a lime - at a Mexican restaurant, of all things).

The owner has mentioned in other reviews that they are in the process of renovating, which is good, because the atmosphere was not aligned with what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant. It was very much a pub that happens to serve Mexican food.

Keen to come back and see what it's like when the renovations are done.

It was recently renovated, so we thought we'd check it out. The food was absolutely amazing. Well done.

I come here regularly for lunch, I forgot to post about this place until i came here again today.

Although the pub that has been converted to a Mexican restaurant is slightly dated the food makes up for it,
Reasonably priced, good tasting food and the service is great !

I believe from what I heard, one of the lucky Lapitas (from North Adelaide) old chefs inspired the menu.

Really tasty Mexican food! The guacamole had some plantain chips, which was really nice. The tacos were super delicious. Although the jackfruit taco was slightly too sweet. We looooooved the chargrilled octopus - favourite dish for sure. The pork ribs were amazingly tender. The meat fell off the bone. Will visit again 😃😃.

So it's a full 5 this time :) Really excellent fresh tasting food, prices are very reasonable, service was great. We had a delightful meal, spiced but not too much, with some firey sauces on the table for me.. Mushroom Tostadas, Kingfish Hibiscus Ceveche, Chicken Mole, Octopus .. One tip, if you have 3 small mains for 2 people you get to try even more ( it's our game plan for next visit ) as the food is just so shareable. A larger ( expanded I think from last time ) range of mexican / spanish beers, and the cocktails that just work when it's hot. It's such a coup to have this at our local. A few more pics attached, It's really healthy feeling food, and I have a healthy desire to go back soon !

Lovely service and great food as well! $10 lunch deals were great and a big menu as well. Definitely worth checking out for lunch or dinner.

Food was fantastic!
Vegetarian Nachos, Beef Quesadilla and Beef Burrito Bowl were some of the best we’ve tasted in Adelaide.
We booked expecting Tex Mex but were pleasantly surprised.
Looking forward to returning!

Renovations are fantastic, a great place to chill with some friends, have a feed and down a few beers. The drive through is stocked with everything, Scotty is the man!

7 of us dined there on Saturday night, all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, service was excellent, and the new renovations look great, place had a great feel

Under renovation but still love this place. Very tasty food and good selection of wines. Potato hash are amazing!!

This has to be the best pub food going around. The steaks are cooked perfectly, the chips are crispy and the salad is always fresh and dressed well. Also need to mention the bossman Scotty from the bottle shop who is pretty funny sometimes and has been known to recommend a good bottle of wine. A must visit.
