Milky Way Holiday Accommodation

We absolutely loved our stay at Milky Way. The room was a good size for us, the bed and pillows comfortable, the compact kitchen just right and the dining table could easily accommodate a 1000 piece jigsaw. The balcony has a nice view across the lawn surrounded by lush vegetation. It was also a quiet and peaceful location, but only a ten minute walk to the post office and shops (even less by bicycle). All that as well as a bonus being the unit is the best equipped we've stayed in.

This was the first trip to Lord Howe Island for my wife and I . Our decision to stay at the Milky Way Villas was influenced by the great reviews given by former guests . Sometimes these reviews don’t match your actual experience but this was definitely not the case for Milky Way . It has to be the best value for money lodge on the island .
We hope to return to Lord Howe Island in the near future and would not think of staying anywhere else .

30 second walk out to the beach! Fantastic. Self contained units have absolutely everything you need for your stay. Even provided a torch and also picnic gear, beach towels and a sense of humour.

Spent a week with my mother on a much needed holiday and could not have chosen a more perfect place. Andrea and her team go above and beyond to ensure guests have all they need. Everything was clean and generously stocked, very comfortable; it was so peaceful tucked away in a garden with the beach a minute down the path; food,games,books,dvds in the kiosk right near our cabin and of course, beautiful Lord Howe Island. Half way through our holiday we were already planning our next trip.Thank you for the memories.

We had a one bedroom villa with a new marble bathroom. Everything exceeded our expectations. The room, the location and the extremely helpful staff.. On northern end of island next to national park. Walk to Settlement and Ned's Beach. We fell in love with Lord Howe Island as our best holiday ever.
Your accommodation drives you to your nominated restaurant each night, and the restaurant drives you home after dinner. Or you can order a BBQ pack from the store and it is delivered to your cabin. You head for a nearby beach BBQ to find fresh wood cut and stacked beside it. Take some alfoil to put on the BBQ to save scouring it clean. Paradise.

Second time stayed here, love it's location very close to Old Settlement beach and also close to town. Rooms are perfect for a couple, well set up. Staff friendly and helpful.

Such a great place to stay while on Lord Howe and so convenient. Situated at the northern end of the island it's an easy 10 minute walk to the main hub, and a minute away from several walks. The room we had was a 1 bedroom twin, clean and with all the essentials plus a really good starter breakfast pack plus fruit. Tea, coffee and 1 litre of milk also supplied. Josette and her staff couldn't have been more helpful by checking our needs each morning. The restaurant, although only open 2 nights had the best meals, particularly local fish. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We just spent 10 nights staying at Milky Way after having first visited the island about 2 years ago for 4 nights (staying elsewhere on the island). We were absolutely thrilled to bits with our stay at Milky Way. The first 7 nights were spent in the Belmoreana, then due to limited availability we switched to the Mooreii for the last 3 nights. Having visited the island before (and stayed at the top of a big hill), we had a bit of an idea on the accommodation location, and in our opinion Old Settlement Beach is perfect! It’s a short 10 minute walk to the main street (even quicker on a bike) and only a couple of very slight hills. Being out of the main street also means it’s incredibly peaceful and secluded. Having Old Settlement Beach so close is wonderful. It’s a lovely calm area to swim and snorkel, with fabulous bbq facilities right by the beach.
The accommodation itself did not disappoint! The Belmoreana was even better than we expected. It was extremely spacious, clean, private, and had an absolutely beautiful outlook. The bbq facilities were well-maintained and the free laundry much appreciated (even laundry detergent is provided!) Andrea and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The Mooreii room was smaller but still comfortable and clean. We can’t wait to return to Lord Howe and Milky Way villas again!

Stayed here as a family with a little one in one of the villas. Very close to the main shops and lots of amenities. Room configuration was a villa with 2 one bedroom areas and a studio all with bathrooms and kitchens. Wifi from the hotel was poor in the larger villas but we were seperate from the rest of the resort. It was a short walk to the beach with gas and wood fire facilities nearby.

We had a wonderful time on Lord Howe island and the Milky way villas was literally the perfect place to stay - quiet, secluded location at the end of the island, surrounded by nature, right next to the beach and still close enough to town for shops and restaurants, with bush tracks on your door step to take you to stunning lookouts (1,5km to Kims lookout with a panoramic view of the island) The apartment was great, very clean and comfortable with all your needs taken care of. Staff were friendly and helpful and left you alone to enjoy the place but there for your needs. Truly loved this place and will definitely go back.

Spent a perfect week here - the villa was clean, comfortable and close to the beach, hiking trails and the shops. Great amenities and great location. Thanks for a great stay!

We have stayed at Milky Way twice and will definitely be there again, and again, and again! Not only is Lord Howe a great place, Milky Way Villas complete the holiday journey!!!

The accomodation was perfect I could not fault a thing about it. The staff were wonderful our whole stay left everybody feeling refreshed and wanting to come back highly recommend it to anyone. Can you check that thing about it
