The Gardens Cafe Hampstead Gardens

Totally in awe of this place!!
We just had dine in breaky + coffee. The service was great, I have so much respect for the owners working so hard even with a small baby 👶 So sweet and we got a cute little wave as well. Love the ethics!!

The food was a WHOLE other story - the prices were reminiscent of the late 90s - incredibly cheap! I was expecting smaller serves to reflect the prices, or maybe less-than optimal quality, but I was SO surprised at both quality and serving size.
The size of both the croissant and steak sandwich were not like you'd find anywhere else. I probably wouldn't even make it that generous at home. I'm still shocked at how little I paid for such a delicious and generous meal!
And the quality was as if they had their own delicatessen out the back - I have never tried sizzle steak that tender or fresh before coming here. And the ham seemed like it was maybe triple smoked and cut fresh this morning. Top Knotch!!
The coffee was perfect, and had a beautiful aroma too.
I don't think I've ever been to a better Cafe.
If the prices changed a few dollars, it would honestly be justified - the size and quality of the meals are just amazing! Topped with great service, we'll definitely be regulars.

Took kids in for a breakfast, absolutely stellar food and quality. Everything was cooked to perfection and fresh Turkish bread amazing.

This place is amazing. We had a big breakfast and a steak sandwich, the tenderest steak too!
The food was spot on, hot and piping fresh, generous servings. The couple that run the place are so friendly and welcoming. The coffee is great too. Definitely recommend you pop in .
Everything is reasonably priced, which really caps the great experience

Took my boys for a quick bite for Saturday brunch. The gentleman cooking and serving was moving at a very quick pace addressing the full cafe. After what seemed like a standard (and reasonable) wait, he emerged with our food and offered the boys an additional treat for the wait! I almost felt guilty accepting his kindness, as we didn’t even notice. The ham & cheese croissant was great value, but the breakfast burger was absolutely incredible, and a steal for the price. $8 for this ‘burger’ (pictured half eaten) would likely set you back 3 times this price at other venues. The bacon and mushrooms were plentiful, while the egg, hash brown, lettuce and tomato complemented nicely and were capped by a perfectly toasted bun. The suburban strip setting may inspire a takeaway vibe, but taking the time to sit and enjoy the hospitality is a rewarding undertaking.

Great value meals with large serves and small prices, both our meals and coffee were fantastic, this could be our new regular breakfast venue

Biggest big breakfast at a killer price - $18. Food and coffee both excellent. Pity I’m travelling or I’d be here everyday!

Please, give a try to this place. Delicious food and amazing coffee. I have tried the burger, the Vietnamese roll, and the steak sandwich with Turkish bread (really delicious).

I highly suggest if you want a delicious café, this is the place to go, the service is perfect, and it's always clean and has a relaxing atmosphere, the food here is amazing, even if you just want to pop in for a second.

How nice to have a normal $10 breakfast and to get way more than I ever anticipated! More food that was also delicious. More friendliness - they actually care about you as a customer and about the presentation of their food. And the coffee was excellent! Well done. A little gem hidden in the open.

We we in the area last week and did a google search and found this hidden gem. They were very friendly and that is the best ham and cheese croissant we've ever had. This wasn't rubbish cheap ham but nice and flavoured. The chai latte was good too. Prices are reasonable. Went back today as we were going past around lunchtime, the hot dog was lovely and bacon and egg roll was perfectly cooked. Almond milk hot chocolate was perfect, not too sweet.
The people are truly so friendly and it's a quick wait for freshly cooked food. We will definitely be back.

Best Cafe my partner and I have ever been to! Service is always prompt and the staff are so warm and friendly. The low prices make us feel like we're ripping them off ahah
The food and coffees are fantastic and the servings sizes are massive and filling. Would definitely recommend going here, and make sure to tip well, they deserve it :)

In this cafe you are always greeted with a warm welcome and outstanding customer service.
The coffees are good and the food is even better! I like to enjoy the casual bacon & eggs on Turkish bread, I appreciate how you can actually eat the bread and it’s not as hard as a rock.. Which unfortunately is hard to come by, In cafes.

I do recommend the music to be a touch softer and perhaps switching to bio takeaway cups with the customers usually purchasing takeaway. It would be a great initiative to keep Hampstead Gardens Green!

Amazing place to go for breakfast with cheap prices, friendly staff and amazing food. Also have never in my life had a breakfast hotdog and it’s definitely a breakfast favourite. Would always come again!

Extremely friendly staff, catering to all of our needs and then some, fantastic relaxed and happy atmosphere and 10/10 food and coffee!

Absolutely loved everything about this place! Food was hot, generous serves and tasty. Restaurant was clean and quiet. Hot drinks were also lovely. Overall great value for money, would recommend.

Popped in to grab a takeaway lunch today. Enjoyed the best hotdog I've had in a long time (with a toasted sesame roll). The coffee was also great, as were the crunchy crinkle-cut hot chips.

You just can't beat the quality to cost ratio in this place. It's amazing. Coffee is great enough to become a local and doesn't cost 8$. The food options are generous and hearty, hope to try the steak Sando soon!
