Fishbank Bar & Grill

Celebrating our wedding anniversary. I found this restaurant, and it doesn't disappoint. Our bill was a whopping $400+ though, but all I can say was well worth it.. we all enjoyed the ambience, and the food also the service were exceptional. We all had a posh dining experience.

My wife and I celebrated our one week of being Husband and Wife on Friday 27.10.23!

We had the best night. It was perfect. Our waiter Kane was great and very knowledgeable. All the food we ordered was cooked to perfection. We ended the night with some drinks at the bar. Had a heap of fun with Nathan and Laura who I put into a competition of who could make the best cocktail, it was a tie… Henry also knows how to run a tight ship, thought he was the Manager!

Cannot thank the entire team of how great our night was and we will definitely be coming back!

We began with prawn toast which was wonderful and Coffin bay oysters which were amazingly prepared and served. For mains we fish n chips, whiting fillets and shoestring fries and a very flavourful tartare sauce and Murray Cod..both beautifully served👏

Our waiter was a hoot and absolutely knew his role to a tee, and the fitout and vibe an impressive art deco display of Adelaide history that captures your attention and detail.

Great place for Happy Hour or dinner. During our stay in Adelaide we went there two times. For happy our we got margaritas and negroni with some oysters. Next time for dinner we ordered fishes (flathead and cod) from large plates menu and tomato peach salad as a side. Everything was great. Also really nice interior and service which cares about you. Highly recommend

Went there for my best friend’s birthday & the food was delicious. The experience was made exceptional with our wonderful waiter Rahul. He was so welcoming & accommodating. Would highly recommend.

I am a frequent visitor to Fishbank. Why? The food. Yes the room is lovely, airy and bright, yes the toilets are in the old bank vault and pretty cool, yes the service is good, but at the end of the day the food never disappoints.

Amazing quality and atmosphere. Kingfish, fish fillets & steak are all great.

The quality and experience I would put on the slightly higher end side of typical Adelaide dinning, with the quality being the major focus instead of quantity, which you will easily find around this area.

These guys have done an extraordinary job at nailing every dish. Oysters 🦪 were very on point Btw.

Food was amazing and service was also amazing. All the fish we ordered were delicious. Nice presentation. Went there for my mum's birthday and staff were great she got extra cocktail and small candles. Price are actually nothing crazy for what you get (food and service) would definitely recommend it for any occasion.

Fishbank came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! From the second you enter the large doors you’re greeted warmly, seated and waited on consistently. Staff were highly attentive, managing to time their visits to your table perfectly.

Staff recommendations for wine pairings and meal preferences were right on the money, and both the food and drinks worked perfectly.

My partner’s favourite dish was the prawn and chicken salad followed closely by the Flathead tartare. My favourite dish was the Barramundi by a country mile.

We came across from Melbourne for my wife’s birthday with family. First visit. This restaurant is superb. The space, being an old bank building, is huge, with stunning art deco lighting. The food was beautifully presented and the combination of flavors on the plate thoughtful and a delight to eat. The staff were polished, understood the menu, and interacted warmly with our group. This is without doubt one of Adelaide’s best restaurants. My only regret is that it’s not in Melbourne.

What a fabulous experience! We enjoyed a delicious meal - everything we chose was excellent. The evening was highlighted by first class service, from the 'greeter' upon arrival, to Rahul, our outstanding server. He guided us through the food and wine menu and was very knowledgeable. This restaurant is a gem!

What an amazing experience it was at Fishbank Adelaide. Food was absolutely delicious and filling. Our waiter Rahul went above and beyond as we both normally don't have seafood and are picking with our foods, we told Rahul what we would like and he came through every time with amazing suggestion, will be going back soon.

Simply put, one of the best dining experiences I have been apart of. We were a group of 6. This restaurant converted a non-seafood eater, into someone who thoroughly enjoys seafood.

We started off with the scallops, they were buttery, silky and an absolute delight.

We then moved to the pipis, which was lathered in decadent sauce, a definite highlight. The added foccaia bread to soak the left over broth was appreciated

The prawn toast was served next, it had the perfect amount of batter, not greasy at all. Absolutely delicious with the added sauce.

However, what thoroughly surprised me was the anchovie toast. This was the meal that converted me to seafood. It wasn't salty at all! It was the perfect blend of Italian fusion that tantelised my taste buds.

We were then served the king fish wings, with char grilled broccolini and an Italian style bocacini tomato melady that complimented the entire meal.

We then had the brisket, an obvious favourite of mine, it simply melted in the mouth and was super decadent.

The whole Roberta fish was equally fantastic.

We finished the night with a lemon gelato and prosecco mix, I have no idea who thought of that but it was simply amazing.

This is EASILY one of the easiest recommendations I have ever made. If you have the time, the money and love seafood (or not!) Definitely make time for Fishbank!

Oysters were fresh and delicious. Excellent martini along with the kind of enjoyable atmosphere that you can have good conversation.

The service was nothing short of fantastic. The two waiters who served us were friendly, attentive and great at recommending food if we had trouble choosing a dish. We would highly recommend and look forward to going back sometime soon! Thank you for a wonderful lunch."

The food was absolutely beautiful. My partner doesn't like seafood so I went with a friend, but I will be back and I will make him come with me because I know he will love it. Also, it has probably the coolest bathroom I've ever been in. The property used to be an old bank, and they have kept the security bars and old safes down stairs and turned it into a bathroom.

Overall a good evening with excellent oysters and local fresh fish ! Ex bank transformed in an elegant restaurant, really high ceilings. Toilets in the ex bank huge safe 😀

Very impressive seafood restaurant. The restaurant itself is so beautiful, great ambience with super high ceiling. It gives of a feeling of the 90s.

The food was absolutely delicious. The caviar and the vodka shot was a great starter, followed by fresh oysters and sashimi. I have never seen anyone used mullet as sashimi but it was surprisingly good. The octopus and the school prawns were also very tasty. The three fish dishes followed were divine, the were all cooked perfectly, especially the whole trout.

A small disappointment was the dessert. They were quite underwhelming compared to the savoury dishes.

Staffs were very friendly and attentive. Good food and wine with friends, what do you want more.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who love seafood.

Fishbank offers seafood with a difference. They are using some really unique methods to present seafood differently. We were lucky enough to sit at the raw bar and could watch the chefs at work. We wanted to try a lot but over a long time and we weren't rushed. Professional service all round. Great dinner.
