Erato Teppanyaki

My boyfriend and I had dinner here on Christmas Eve. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Thank you, Chef Miles, for providing us with such fantastic food and service tonight. He was so considerate, even performing the fire show again when he learned that I had missed filming it. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Beautiful restaurant in heart of Adelaide, I went with the classic feed me, whilst my friend had the meat set menu. Stand outs were the oysters, toothfish, miso and tenderloin. Dessert was fairly underwhelming. Bathrooms were on a separate level in the basement and dingy.

It was our first time doing a teppanyaki experience and it was amazing! I’m heavily pregnant and they made sure they catered for my needs, cooking the meats thoroughly and even bought me over a pillow to make sure I was comfortable, amazing food and experience 100%.

The service was exceptional. They catered for my needs perfectly - I mentioned at the start of the evening that I was pregnant to one of the waiters so they offered to swap out the oysters with another dish and passed on to the teppanyaki chef (Sun) for all my dishes to be well-done. He did this without fault throughout all the courses, and nothing was overcooked either. Every dish was absolutely delicious and it was so entertaining to watch everything be cooked in front of you - more than just a meal out but truly an experience.

My partner and I shared our third anniversary here last Friday night. We had the Head Chef Sun as our chef and oh my gosh it was delicious.
He showed us his cutlery juggling skills, amazing cooking abilities and suprised us with “anniversary” written in chocolate on our desert.
Highly recommend.

This was the cooled restaurant sitting in an old bank! Beautiful food and great staff. Violet martini was incredible and I’m still dreaming about it.

Amazing and fun experience with the family for a birthday. Awesome food and entertaining chef kept made dinner a night to remember. Set menus very well planned out and left us satisfied prices did go up since I went last time but it was still well worth it. Regretful not taking many photos. Recommended for group dinners.

Walking into Erato prepares you for this premium experience. With an impressive drinks section (including our favourite: Sake) and Teppanyaki to suit all tastes, there's something for everyone. 10/10 I had a fantastic experience my date took me for my birthday and I cannot fault anything. The chef experience, the vibe the food was worth every dime. It's in the top 10 dearest of places but also preferable you go with couple or small group only.

We got the Meat Lovers and initially thought it wasn’t gonna be enough cause the photos online looked like the servings were tiny.

But it was more than enough!

Went for family dinner with our 6 & 5 year old and we left happy and content. Attentive staff, chef took absolute pride in the dishes he was serving, was a pleasure to watch and eat. We will most definitely be back. Thank you!

This was probably one of my best dining experiences. The design of the place is so open with the high ceilings and marble and gold touches.
There was 4 different set menus to choose from of which we had the set menu "Meat Lover" which consisted of 7 items + dessert. The restaurant is accomadating to dietary requirements as well. They also had an extensive list of wines and alcohol as well as cocktails.
We had a late dinner so we had a more personal experience of only us at the teppanyaki dining. The dishes may have looked to be small portions but all together in a course meal was very filling. I definitely recommend to get the Japanese A-5 kuroge wagyu, which was my favourite meal of the night apart from the dessert. The meat just melts in your mouth like ice cream.
Aside from the food the staff were also very attentive and friendly. I would definitely like to come back and try a different set menu. The seafood menu looked very tempting 🤤

This place was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it. It is pricey but the food and entertainment from the Chefs definitely make up for it. The servings aren't large, however the number of dishes you get will satisfy the majority of people. Since it is a Japanese restaurant, they have many Japanese beverages to choose from that you won't find at other places, so it is good opportunity to try something different. They also do cocktails which were fantastic. You will also have to book before coming in because you will get turned away, so make sure you book a few days ahead.

Outstanding food and service. Food is delicious and fresh. Chef's are incredible and take great pride in their creations. Service staff are polite, friendly and always available. Cocktails are of a very high quality. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for making a wonderful Christmas for us too. 🤗

A spectacular experience. Visually and for your taste buds. The food quality was immaculate, the service was fantastic; our waiter was very knowledgeable. Our personal tepanyaki chef was amazing to watch and really put on a show. Highly recommend.

We came here for dinner. We both ordered the set menu which was an 8 course meal. There are different sets menus to choose from. I chose the meat one. Every thing was delicious and presented beautifully on the plate. Some dishes that came out were very small portions but by the end of the courses we were full and satisfied. Our chef did an awesome job. I will recommend paying the $80 on top of your set menu to get the Japanese A/5 Kuroge Wagyu, it has to be the best piece of meat I have ever tried in mouth

Elegant Japanese food, even though it comes in a relatively small serve but you won’t leave hungry, the steak is the best I’ve ever tried in Adelaide, we ordered stralian wagyu and it was fantastic, It was REALLY juicy and tender. Great restaurant.
