Sandbar and Restaurant

The Sandbar was such a beautiful venue for our wedding and we were over the moon with the whole night. Milou was amazing and ensured that the planning process was smooth for us and everything ran really well on the day. She made sure everything was perfect and all our guests were very impressed with her. Highly recommend the Sandbar and cannot speak more highly of their wonderful team! Thank you so much for a wonderful night!

Really delicious Tapas style small plates which we love. A credit to the chef. Nothing else like it at Evans Head.

Relaxed atmosphere, with the best dining veiw in town. Professional friendly staff. The food was amazing! First time I've ever ordered the fish as a main and I'm ecstatic I did, it was absolutely delicious.

Best view in town to watch the sun go down or the moon to rise. The calamari was sensational, cooked to perfection accompanied by homemade aeoli. Hubby’s barramundi and my steak were just perfect. Reasonable prices a must do if your in Evans Head

Best food! Cheaper then half of Evans Head, wait time wasn't too bad for the amount of people there, juice of the day was not great that day, Pineapple and Lime, tasted like someone tipped a can of pineapple juice in a cup and sold it $9 each 😕 the rest was great though 😀

Had great breakfasts of fresh juices, blts and coffees most mornings when we recently stayed at Evans Head. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were enjoyable and good value. Nice place to sit and enjoy the view too.

Taste sensation at Sandbar and Restaurant. Delicious and innovative flavours - even the side dish of vegetables was something special! Ambience relaxed and staff were fab&friendly. Highly recommend!

Great coffee and delicious food. We stayed in the caravan park located just across the road very convenient for breakfast.

I had an Awesome experience dining at The SandBar Restaurant! The presentation was pleasing but the actual meal delightful! My steak, cooked to perfection melted in my mouth and the au jus had an unusual flavour that kept me wanting more!! The 'oh so fresh Barramundi 'was served with an Asian twist that complimented the fish without losing it's flavour!
Most Impressive was the Customer Service; a quality missing in most Australian dining today. Laura made you feel as if she knew you forever! Addressed you by name and followed up throughout the dining experience. Worth every cent!

Wonderful food, drinks & view. Tonight we had shared the roti, curry & karage chicken.. absolutely sensational. The Brookie’s strawberry gin was Devine too. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding ceremony and canapes on the beach yesterday..... Yep, on the beach, not in the restaurant.
Genevieve is the Event Coordinator for Sandbar Restaurant and Evans Bowlo and was a DELIGHT to have on our team. This personable young lady (with the appropriate business qualifications I assure you) and her staff created the most amazing event for my wife and I. Service onto the sand to the marquee was friendly, personal and world class. Thankyou to Chef too! You nailed it! Delicious, sophisticated food.
Genevieve and her attention to my wife's needs was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble in both the lead up and in the execution.
If Sandbar staff can keep delivering service of this calibre everybody is going to have to start booking a very long time in advance.
