Banh Mi Bar (Pho & Vietnamese Cuisine)

I'm not the Gordon Ramsay of reviews, but when it comes to local lunch spots, this one gets a gold star, or maybe a silver spoon? The staff's memory is so good, they could be detectives in another life – remembering your name like it's the secret ingredient to their culinary success. The food is always on point, and I swear they never close. (They actually do though)

I can't get enough of Banh Mi Bar! It's truly a hidden treasure among the industrial buildings. The service deserves 5 stars. And the food? Absolutely yummy! I always order their spicy beef noodles but with pork slices and they always go above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs 😍.

By far one of the best Vietnamese places in Adelaide!!

I love this place. I was at a warehouse nearby and punched in ‘Bahn Mi near me’. The search engine recommended several places a few kilometres away but I persisted and as I scrolled down the list I found this little gem only 400 metres from where I was. What a discovery - an authentic Vietnamese ‘hole in the wall’ in the middle of an industrial area and on one of Adelaide’s main thoroughfares (Grand Junction Rd). The pork rolls with coriander and chilli are great; as is the sweet Vietnamese coffee with just the right amount of ice. The atmosphere is very chilled and unpretentious as befits the location. And there is a mixed crowd ranging from young tradies to older locals. Although I live in the Adelaide Hills (some 50kms away) I find myself finding excuses to go to Adelaide’s Northern Suburbs so I can grab myself something from here :)

Been here twice now. The roast pork banh mi is amazing, one of the best I've had in Adelaide. Very friendly service from Jasmin, and she makes delicious drinks too.
Definitely will be back for more.

Lovely service from Jasmin, she makes the best coffee and bread rolls! Super fresh and delicious! Can’t get better than this! Bread rolls are packed with flavour and filled with crispy succulent roast pork! Be careful with the chilli, it really packs a punch.

I was warmly welcomed by staff and found out they have only been open for a few weeks.

I ended up ordering a Vietnamese coffee and a bao bun. I was pleasantly surprised to find the coffee was served traditionally, which can be hard to find. The Bao bun was light and fluffy with fresh ingredients and a perfect amount of chilli. It was so delicious I ended up ordering another two.

The prices are very reasonable and customer service is excellent. I’ll definitely be back and keen to try their Pho. Thanks 🙏

Although the shop is at the corner of busy streets (potentially difficult to get in for new customers), its price is reasonable given the current inflation in Australia and its taste is excellent. I would recommend Pho (beef noodle soup) if one wants to try some Vietnamese dishes, banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) and fried rice with chicken satay if one wants to grab a quick lunch to be back to work.

Best noodle salad I’ve had! Plenty of pork that’s warm instead of cold. As they serve Pho there is extra chilli herbs sauces etc you can add to your bowl to your liking

It’s my first meal in Adelaide, surprisingly have Vietnamese food. Spend 20 dollars with #6 noodle and short black coffee.

Some co workers tried this cafe last week and recommended it. Had a pork Banh Mi yesterday that was the best I’ve had for a very long time! All the staff are lovely too. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy your food. Looking forward to my next visit. Give them a go, you won’t regret it!

Myself and my team at work have had rolls from here a number of times now and not a bad word to be said. Staff are friendly, the restaurant is very clean and the prices are very affordable. This has become our weekly regular!

We order almost every Thursday and the food is always amazing and fresh. The staff are incredibly friendly.
