Merbein Golf Club

Unique. Easy to walk, reasonably challenging, great condition and very friendly club.
Built on red desert sands, which gives it its unique colour, the fairways are lined with the tiny Mallee Eucalyptus trees.
We played in perfect 21deg weather conditions.
Looking out at the sunset from this gem of a golf course topped off a great day.

found this place a couple of years ago and had to come back and play it, so glad we did

Great atmosphere course maintained by volunteers,grass greens 18 holes testing par 72 .!!

Amazing grounds and great social aspect! Highly recommend if in the Mildura area.

Rough around the edges, but this is solely volunteers based and is harder than it looks.

Great country club

Our three day six rounds of golf holiday. We left Adelaide at 4 am and tee’d off at Coomealla by 9.30 and then went off to Wentworth GC in the afternoon. Drove down to Mildura golf resort and stayed overnight - $81. Played Mildura GC in the morning and Merbein GC in the afternoon and then back to Mildura resort overnight. We played Riverside in the morning and then Redcliffs GC and back to Adelaide by 6 pm…… Pretty tired but a wonderful couple of days.
Merbein GC is located in a lovely peaceful bushland setting. It has a great layout. The course is maintained by volunteers only and is in excellent condition. One of the unusual bunkers I played from had sleepers as the face…… See photo. A highlight for the day was when we called up the group behind and one of the members hit their Srixon ball that landed inside my bag…… check out the photo. Members were very welcoming. We had a great time.

Quaint course good fairways and greens. 1 extremely long par 3. Very challenging.

Very relaxed atmosphere, Magpies are friendly too!
