Allambee Camp

We recently organized a community retreat at Allambee Camp, situated in the Gippsland region and conveniently proximate to Melbourne's southeast suburbs. This campsite is highly regarded for its cleanliness and overall excellence. The host, Imelda, who resides in close proximity to the site, proved to be an exceptionally inclusive and pleasant individual. Her ready availability for assistance during our stay greatly contributed to the overall positive experience.

Allambee Camp boasts a diverse range of activities, catering to individuals of varying age groups. From the exhilarating Flying Fox to the enjoyable Giant Swing, each member of our group, spanning from the youth to adults, derived satisfaction from the offered activities. We extend our gratitude to Allambee Camp for graciously hosting our community retreat.

Amazing camp!! For groups only/3-5 families minimum. Very neat rooms (we lived in family room)! Camp fire, Gas Barbecue area, outdoor pool (water very cold), kitchen, flying fox (best one), archery, great views on bush walk, and so on! Worth spending weekend!! Lovely lady managing the place!

We recently organised a family camp at Allambee Camp. The camp site facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the location was truly picturesque. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the various activities available for campers.

I would like to commend the camp site staff for their professionalism and friendliness throughout our stay. Their helpfulness and attentiveness truly enhanced our camping experience.

It is good to have a large group of people. Excellent facilities for kitchen and dining room. Walk in refrigerator and deep freezer separately. Combi oven. Large stove and separate bbq area. Quality bunker beds. We had fun with 30 people. Great for adults and kids too. Lots of activities to do. 2 nights and 3 days are not enough for us...

The staff members excel in creating exciting, safe, and personable experiences that not only captivate participants but also contribute to incredible student outcomes. The bead system, where students earn beads for stepping out of their comfort zones and participating in activities is a brilliantly articulated addition to the program. It adds a layer of motivation and achievement, enriching the overall camp experience.

Amazing scenery and experience at this camp due to the height of the hill it's placed on. There are plenty of activities to do for the kids and the cabins are incredibly cozy and comfy.

Taking our 50 Year 4 students to Allambee for the first time in 2023 was a departure from our usual local camp. After 3 days of safe, well-run and fun filled activities, we left with full bellies of yummy food and fond memories. In my 22 years of teaching, this has undoubtedly been the best camp I have EVER taken my students to. Congratulations Imelda, Roman and staff for running a high quality, professional camp. We look forward to coming back next year!

We had a really good experience at this camp site. The host is so friendly and communicated all the relevant information before arrival on site. The camp site is very well maintained. There are really good activities for all the age groups and we enjoyed a lot.

The Year 6 camp we just had at Allambee Camp was fantastic! In over 30 years of teaching (and taking students on camps), this is the best I have experienced! The staff were amazing, so supportive and ran the camp like a well-oiled machine! All of the students were pushed out of their comfort zones, challenged in ways they hadn't experienced before and grew enormously in their own self-belief and confidence. The food was delicious, freshly cooked and there was plenty for everyone. I highly recommend this camp to others! Thanks Imelda, Roman and team at Allambee!

Our student association had a weekend camp here for our committee bonding. Place was amazing and beautiful. A variety of outdoor activities you can do, even self-run activities at no cost as they guarantee sole use of the camp. The host, Imelda, is really friendly and assisted us a lot during our stay. Would recommend this place for school/university groups, church camps, etc. Looking forward to come back here in the near future. Thank you Allambee!

We loved Allambie Camp. Such a beautiful place. Clean facilities and Imelda was amazing accommodating all our needs and checking frequently of we needed anything. All the camp staff was providing great customer service, making sure that our stay there is perfect.
There is everything you need for children and adults.
Kat, the cook was so kind and friendly and helpful and cooked is lots of delicious food, even a dish that was not on the menu, but we requested it in the last minute. We are so grateful.

Recently helped run a Youth Theatre Camp at Allambee. The setting was magic, accommodation was great and the food was fabulous. Imelda and her team did a great job of looking after us and ensuring our stay was comfortable and fun. Hope to be back there some day to share in its delights again.

The camp was extremely well run. The students were busy all day and very well fed. The facilities are clean and well maintained. I would be happy to return and recommend to others.

My children attended Allambee Camp over these past school holidays and had a wonderful time. All staff were communicative, caring, professional and fun.

A++ friendly team looking after kids&owners really helpful promptly answering questions on email to worried parents if child is doing OK while away. Their experience showed when my child cried when pick-up time arrived, because she was enjoying so much her 1st stay. My child praised the bathroom condions as being the best&said she had showers every night as it was so clean! Absolutely Loved the cabins with heaters working!SHe loved the food during her spring 4day camp❤❤we are going back soon ❤❤

What a beautiful site!!! When I called to enquire about the venue and pricing, Imelda was outstanding. Providing so much insight, you can see how much experience the owners have. The views are magnificent and the drive is so beautiful. I never knew this part of Victoria, it’s such a hidden gem. The facilities are great and the activities are very well set up. The owners worked tirelessly to tailor everything to our needs, providing absolutely outstanding service. We had a large group with specific needs and again, Imelda worked very hard to make our experience so smooth and delightful. When I went for a site check, Imelda put so much time aside to tend to us and provided thorough booking information with everything set up. I can’t put into words how appreciative our organization is to the owners for everything they did for us. 5 out of 5 recommendation from me. If you’re looking for a beautiful retreat, camp, conference or seminar for a family, school camp, university seminar, faith groups, whatever it is you need, this venue and the owners are a absolutely outstanding!!
