Fred & Bet's Cafe

Food was pretty yummy. I tried the pumpkin & feta muffin. Customer service was great.
Atmosphere is really nice, especially down the hallway, it's really peaceful ☺ will be back.

Through a recent stopover in Ararat I found F&B cafe, and it became my regular recharge pitstop.
A friendly and loving environment, beginning with the bubbly customer service while ordering coffee, through to the conscious eco friendly items on display for sale, the plants and decor, and the spacious and available seating.
Special moments of acknowledging the smile and joyous contentment emanating from locals and cafe regulars as they awaited their coffee.
A beautiful space conveniently located in the centre of town.

Beautiful set up. Very Instagram-able cafe for the trendy crowd.
I love their minced beef pie, the filling was super tasty, pure minced beef meat beneath the crusty pastry.
Drinks we're sizeable, definitely enough for you to spend at least an hour here.
Staff were friendly and polite.
The merchandise available were really pretty, heard that they are made by artists from Adelaide.
A must-go cafe if you're in the area!

EDIT - 9th June 2023. The coffee and food is still good. But I got charged $22 for a large coffee and a toasted sandwich, which I thought was a little pricey. I would still come back if the prices were back to reasonable standards.

Very tasty pickup n' great coffee

One of my favourite reasons to visit Ararat. Their display of foods are amazing and there is so much choice.
Fresh as fresh produce and always changing.
They have an amazing dining area out the back, with plenty of room to relax. Coffee is awesome also.
Tip: if you are lot for lunch don't leave it too late in the day! They often run out come 1:30pm
Their sponges are amazing !

Home cooked deserts. All fresh, fresh food. Homemade jams, preserves and other products also on sale. Great range of salads. Excellent gluten free menu. First rate staff, restrooms awkward to get to but clean. Well worth a visit. You will want to go again.

I get my morning coffee here the days in work in Ararat and there is something that just seems genuinely kind about the staff and the business. They seem to legitimately care about their staff and customers. I once had lunch there and the food was delicious.

Great coffee, great atmosphere and enjoyable service staff are fantastic and apologise to customers if orders are coming out late. Recommend to anyone

Enjoyed two mornings last week here. Unquestionably the best coffee in Ararat, having been to town the past four years for work and trying everything else out. Delicious breakfast, good vibes, friendly service.

I love Fred and Bet's as a stop on my way Melbourne to Adelaide. They have great food, make a lovely pot of tea, they're family friendly, the food is lovely and staff are friendly and efficient. Enjoy.

Cannot say enough about Fred & Bet's Cafe when ever in Ararat always drop in for a coffee and meal . Thoroughly recommend.
