WOW what a hidden gem. Truly beautiful home with amazing facilities and excellent service from Leon. Such a generous host.
Definitely be back for another stay.

Absolutely immaculate, fantastic polite host, beautiful gardens, farm animals, hot shower, big bed, all presented in 5 star quality. Generous breakfast selection and fruit, juice, tea and coffee facilities available upon arrival. Could not recommend highly enough.

A lovely situated homestead nestled amongst the old pines. We were made to feel extremely welcome by a generous host Leon. We loved our stay and especially the warm cozy fire. Thank you again Leon

Only an hour from Melbourne and it's a different world. The bed was so comfy I wanted to take it with me. The property was warm and clean. We will be returning as soon as possible. And Enfield state park is a hidden gem.

Wonderful place to stay, quiet and clean.
Leon was very friendly and approachable.
It was the start of winter and he had a lovely open fire for me to curl up in front of.
Breakfast was varied and tasty.
Will be going back.

The best accommodation I have ever stayed at in my life. I was hesitant at first because this place is so cheap but I didnt need to be. Leon runs the homestead singlehandedly and yet manages to be such a warm and kind host, truly goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, fed, and happy. I saw a review that mentioned there was no hot water, we notified Leon and he fixed it straight away! Please try and tell him if you have any complaints rather than posting a bad review and not saying anything to him, I would hate for a bad review to impact his livelihood. The house is spotlessly clean and the beds and chairs are so comfortable, the breakfast spread is delicious and fresh every morning. All the guests that stay here seem so lovely, don't be afraid to strike up a conversation and make a few new friends.

Also, just a note about transport: there's no PT that comes out to the area so either bring/rent a car, take a taxi or send Leon a text as he is more than happy to provide a lift (another testament to his beautiful personality!)

Thank you again Leon for making this trip so wonderful. If I ever find myself in Ballarat again, I won't stay anywhere but Helen's Homestead ❤

We have stayed twice now this year and want to keep returning. A truly wonderful 'home-away-from-home' as it were, hosts Leon and Helen are super welcoming. The house is stunning, with lovely sitting areas both inside and outside, and the breakfasts are superb!

Super clean, quiet and comfortable stay. Leon is absolutely wonderful and welcoming; you feel like you're staying with a friend. He is friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. Our room was large and beautifully decorated. For the price, you absolutely cannot get any better. It would be a steal at twice the price.

If you're looking for kangaroos, sit on the deck and look into the back paddock. We saw lots.

Helen's Homestead was a delightful stay. The place was spotless and very comfortable. Lounge had a wood fire with plenty of furniture to relax in.
Leong was a stellar host managing to be super helpful.
The breakfast spread was an OMG moment (see pic) - don't think anything wasnt available. Leong had even put on fresh coffee for me too.
The location may not be to everyone's taste but its exactly what I was looking for and I will more than likely be back.

A great place to stay. Very comfortable. Being out of town, it's quiet and peaceful. Leon is a wonderful host. Even with other guests staying there its quite nice getting to know them. But don't feel like you have to either.

Leon is a wonderful warm and friendly host. The home is beautifully and tastefully decorated bed with real down cover was tops .and the fire at night topped it off. Id definitely recommend.

My daughter Indiana 15, my son Ryder 12 and I stayed here last night while visiting in Ballarat and we loved it. Leon was very warm and accomodating in his beautiful clean home. Surrounding garden and chooks were a treat too!
I love making memories like this with my kids, will hopefully revisit again

A very nice quiet location and very clean and pleasing accomodation.The bed was just so comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Leon even posted us a couple of items of clothing that we had left behind and refused to charge us. Breakfast was a nice range of choices and the coffee was always hot and ready. The local pub does do a great steak.

Great place to stay at fantastic room rates. Place was so awesome and we stayed another night...
Both Leon and his wife Helen are great people who make you feel very welcome on arrival to time. We stayed in the King room, and it was just first class. The living room and dining rooms are equally as good as the bedrooms where. Breakfast is 'included' which was fantastic value for money, and even though its a very easy and relaxing 20klm drive from town, it well worth the drive for the peace and quiet atmosphere of the 'Hut'... AWESOME place and we will be back.

What a treasure! Helen's Luxury Hut was clean, welcoming, with everything you need for a tranquil time away. I would highly recommend it! The breakfast had heaps of variety, the beds were comfy and the bathroom spotlessly clean. Leon's hospitaly was above and beyond. Made us feel very welcome!

This was a wonderful weekend away. Spontaneous and adventurous. Leon (host) was a dear soul and breaky was Yummo. Will definitely return.

Excellent suit with facilities and big bed, spacious and lounge chairs - outside lovely, kitchen and lounge area large for any crowd, priced well, well located and the host is terrific. Breakfast is fine, but the coffee, that was so good!
