Goughs Bay Caravan Park

I give this place 5 stars! While the condition of the park itself may only warrant 3 stars, Yummie went out of his way to accommodate us (with no prior booking), even drive us around the place and down to the boat ramps etc!!! The location is brilliant too! I highly recommend coming here!!

Thank you!!! Tommy and family are the most amazing hosts! This caravan park is the most humbling experience, where you get back to nature and embrace your surroundings. As a family of 5 with 3 young lads, giving them freedom to bike around everywhere and be safe was a great time for them. Having a stunning Lake Eildon across the road is beautiful and the site is always being looked after. Be it a lock on a cabin door, the shared bathroom facilities or the grounds. I also love that the shop onsite where you can get all sorts of goodies along with pizzas, fish and chips and coffees….all made on site!! We are excited to come back next year 😄😄😄

Absolutely wonderful caravan park. We go to a lot of places, this has to be one of the best. The powered camp site was wonderfully situated. I see someone else has complained about other campers who are loud - there were some people having a nice time later at night, but they were not loud or offensive. Only other thing to note was the park is across the road from the lake - it is only a short walk but before we visited I did think the park was waterfront. However, I wouldn't let that deter you because it is only a short walk from the lake and when the water level rises a bit more you would be very close indeed. Quiet and peaceful. And this park is dog friendly! All the dogs were wonderfully behaved, everyone was very conscious of their own animals. I could not recommend this park more.

Lovely place with very friendly operators in Tom and Charlotte making us feel at ease and honorary locals right from the start and in my book, that is gold.
Nice cafe too.

Stayed here over a lengthy period of time & loved it that much I bought a site so my entire family could enjoy. You couldn't get more friendly & helpful owners than Charlotte & Tommy. They were always there for a friendly chat, a good coffee or just ensuring that you were comfortable or needed any assistance. The shower & toilet block was always kept tidy & cleaned on a daily basis. Likewise the laundry block which has both washing machines & industrial size dryer was maintained & kept clean at all times. The onsite Cafe has plenty to offer & makes an awesome Pizza!! The kids playground is also maintained & secure & often overseen by Penny, the very friendly resident black Labrador.
Tom & Charlotte keep a close eye on things & anyone creating a disturbance is quickly pulled up. Overall Goughs Bay Caravan Park is a great Family & Pet friendly place to stay be it for a couple of weeks or just a weekend away with easy boat access to the Lake just across the road!! Excellent accommodation for Bendigo Legion Angling Club on our weekend trip for 21 anglers. Tom and Charlotte are excellent hosts with top quality pizza, fish and chip, and burgers cooked when ordered on Friday and Saturday night. Thanks for our hosts offering competition prizes without being asked and allowing late check out when organized. Facilities

Clean, very friendly hosts, hot shower, everything’s walking distance, very friendly people, lots of friendly dogs.

Just a stone’s throw away from the boat ramp and the lake, safe and good walks for dogs and humans.

The Red Fin is a treat, bring your own alcohol, bring your mates, great Friday treat to be had. No wifi but plenty of time for nature. Your dog will thank you too.
