Chaplin's Barista Bar & Nosh

Omelette is one of the best I have had, very tasty cheese, layers of streaky bacon throughout on sour dough, with sweet cherry tomatoes grilled to perfection on the side. The capsicum conserve served on the side surprisingly went perfectly with the omelette.

The pear, banana and apple cake was amazing, that I forgot to take a photo of it. Flavours /spices throughout the cake were delicate, cake was moist with delicious slightly caramelised crust , and a touch of orange This team knows how to put flavours together. Even the way it was cooked you had a thin crust to enhance the cake, but not drying it out.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, made even more gorgeous by the lovely hospitality from Mel and the staff. They are genuinely kind and warm hearted locals who make delicious cakes, salads, vegan pies and EXCELLENT COFFEE!!
The decor is super cute and really makes you feel like you're visiting an old fashioned family home. Such a lovely cozy vibe and lots of Charlie Chaplin paraphernalia. This place is a must visit!! I wouldn't buy coffee anywhere else when in Trentham.

Trentham is so lucky to have a place where anyone can pop in an feel welcome. Mel and the team provide excellent service, offering dine in or take away meals and coffee. The best coffee in the district. A perfect place for a late breakfast or leisurely lunch. 👌

Wow! Did not expect such great things from a little country cafe! The ladies here are amazing. Really great and friendly service, nice little quaint seating and real quirky.

The food here is relatively standard but they put a bit of a twist on things. I had the “big brekky” but they served them with their own marinated red peppers. Wow. They were insanely tasty and amazing. Must try if you’re in the area.

Do you yourself a favour and stop here if you are anywhere nearby. Absolutely delicious cakes and treats (ginger and pear cake!), divine coffee and all the cooked food that came out looked top quality. Great vibe and comfortable and cozy seating.

I went here with my parents on the weekend, who are Trentham locals, and we loved it. They always talk about how good the coffee, the staff and the food is. They are yet to find a time when the place isn't busy. I can definitely see why.

It's very much got that "local cafe" vibe do it. A bit of a hidden gem as it's at the end of the main street. It's not pretentious or posh. Good food and coffee done right in a warm, homely setting with blankets and wooden floorboards.

A word of caution though: If you suffer from anxiety, stay away. The closeness of the tables and people passing was uncomfortable for me. This isn't a reason to take away any stars from my rating, as it's my personal problem, but I feel it's important to state.
