Trentham Railway Station & Visitor Information Centre

Quaint old station which has been lovingly ❤ restored by the hard work and kindness of volunteers. What a step back in time. Not just the station building itself but the surrounding gardens and settings.
Certainly worth a visit to embrace the nostalgic importance this little railway station must have had for Trentham from yesteryears.

A historic and abandoned train station with some rolling stock such as old wagons etc still on rails.
Worth a visit to teach your kids about the history of this Victorian township

We visited on a Tuesday so unfortunately the visitor centre at the station wasn't open but we still got to wander around the old train carriages to our hearts content. We also did the Domino Trail from the station to Lyonsville and back which is an easy 12 km return walk along the old railway line. Several railway bridges remain although two need to be detoured around now but are securely fenced off so safe for kids too. The kids will love it and it's free! It's also worth spending a bit longer in town and taking a walk down High Street to look at the antique and boutique stores with a detour to the RedBeard Bakery (the cafe is only open Friday to Monday though) down Wolff Lane.

Am part of the Daylesford Community Brass Band percussion and we performed there on the Vintage tractor pull and then went to the Spud Fest.
Both were fabulous and the people/volunteers of trentham are just a gorgeous community.
Go and have a pint or cuppa, you'll be returning. 💯🎇🙏🏼🌻

The Dominic Trail offers a nice amble for people looking for an easy afternoon walk. It's 12 km all up. Lots of bush, birdlife and butterflies. Suitable for taking the kids on a bike ride. BYO water - no drinking fountains or bathrooms on the trail

We've been clambering all over these carriages since we were in nappies. Fun for all ages of kids, and interesting for adults. I've never seen the information centre actually open. Nice spot for a trail walk or bikeride too. Well maintained little spot.

So much fun. Will enjoy if you like pretending you're in the classic film Stand By Me.

Very unique history and character looks a good place to walk along shame I had to return to Melbourne. The twin I'd very nice must see waterfall

Cool place to check out! Old Railway carridges with an equally as Old Station!
Can go for a walk down the Railway line to Lyonville and see Anthony's Cutting and embankment over an Old handmade brick tunnel! And the trestle bridge after that!

There is a bunch for preserved rolling stock here such as rail tractors and the platform is amazing. This is -in my opinion- one of the best places in Trentham!

Well maintained Old Railway Station. Start of the Domino Bush walk too!

My mother had her quick wedding ceremony here and the staff were marvellous in taking care of it. There isn't a lot to see, but I recommend it if you are stopping by the Trentham township.

If you don't find what you are looking for in the tourism office it doesnt exist. Wonderful ladies with lots of information. You could even describe it as overload. And why not the area is amazing.
