I've been wanting to visit the Tramway Heritage Centre for a couple of years. Today I finally had the chance to go and visit. I was absolutely blown away with the tram displays. It was like stepping back in time. Thankyou to all the volunteers involved and I highly recommend people visit and have a wander around.
The museum is located at the former Bylands Railway station site.

Great place run by volunteers. To be able to walk into the trams and see everything in detail was fascinating. Seeing them all lined up nose to tail gave you a sense of vastness.

Friendly volunteers and such a great collection of trams. Great family day out and our 2 year old loved looking at all the different trams. Hope people continue to show their support to keep this place going for many many years to come !

Melbourne's tramway heritage is an important part of its history. As time goes by it will become more and more difficult to see what they have here. Powered by 100% volunteer power they need your help to improve and, one day, get the line up and running as well as build more facilities for the next generation of retiring trams. Get there and show your support for Melbourne's trams and the teriffic work the volunteers do. Great for kids to climb trams and run around.

Great place to visit for any track enthusiast. The sheds are full of Australian tram history with exhibits from all around Victoria, Adelaide and Sydney.
Keep in mind that dedicated group of volunteers keep the place running so there's isn't a huge budget to spend on aesthetics. But the smell of greelase and walking along the compacted earthen paths are all part of the experience.

Lots of trams obviously, everyone is super nice and very knowledgeable, the drive is a little long but it is worth it to stop by. Especially when yoy are into trams or transport.
