Lovely, free camp ground. Very spacious with a covered picnic area and two long drop toilets. Very clean and you can walk to the lookout easily.

Beautiful place to visit, camp ground needs a little work for when it rains, run-offs through every site. So great to see untouched natural beauty. A little confusing to whether our four legged companion could be with us. Parks Vic website says Yes, signage on tracks says no. Wondered up to Melville Caves Lookout, next day walked the loop, going to McLeod's lookout. Kids had a ball.

Spacious. Good fireplaces and a drop toilet that does not smell at all - hooray!!! Good walks all around.

Please pick up rubbish when you're walking we will all love you for it. ♥

My first visit was on a cold night on the Queen's Birthday weekend of 1982! I have returned to 'The Caves' more than 50 times since then. A lot has changed since '82, but granite and form still has that timeless beauty to it when the sun goes down (or when it comes up!). A special place of wild and unblemished grandeur. This really is the place to be if you like the colours of sunrise and sunset, far from the city crowds.
