Donald Lakeside Caravan Park

I found the park to be well presented with reasonably large sites with very clean well presented amenities. While I’ve forgotten the name of the manager he welcome me to his park explaining his operation etc including fee payment process. I happily extended my stay for an extra night. I enjoyed my walk around the lake and the short walk to CBD. Thank you very much

This was a surprise find, Only $25 a night for a powered and water site right beside a nice lake, really quiet and walk to town. Excellent

Relaxing little spot, nice lake, clean facilities, friendly visitors, helpful caretaker, and even great coffee onsite.

This unassuming caravan park would have to be one of, if not, the best caravan parks we've stayed in. Great amenities, always clean. An absolutely top notch position with the lake as a back drop. Able to finish each day with friends around your own fire, pit supplied, overlooking the lake and watching the sunset. The caretaker, Gerard, is always available for any help you may need. Would highly recommend this gorgeous little piece of paradise out in rural Victoria to anyone. A must stay when ever in the area. Thanks to all for making our stay so wonderful ✨

Great park which I love camping at every year right on the lake, hundreds of birds to entertain us all day. Feels like I'm in the bush on the unpowered site except it's only a 1km walk to the shops. Very clean amenities and lovely caretaker. Friendly locals. $100 for the week unpowered. Nice and shady. I'll be back

This is the very best caravan park on our trip thus far! The park is quiet, peaceful, beautifully maintained and has the best and cleanest amenities we've experienced. One of the most important things for us, being as we are travelling for work, are good, hot showers, and these are the best ever. Kudos to this park, run by the football club, for being the nicest we've ever stayed at. We will be returning. 100% recommended.

Great value caravan park in a quiet spot about half a km from the main highway.
Great selection of powered & unpowered sites as well as several drive through sites.
The amenities are top class, well laid out, extremely clean and well maintained.
$25 a night for a powered site is tremendous value.
Payment is undertaken by an honour box, so ensure you have cash handy

Gorgeous park, well maintained, extremely clean amenities and large sites. The park is very relaxing. You can walk to the lake (if you don't have a lakeside site), beautiful scenery and there are chooks in a large penned off area in the park also. Plenty of room for the kids to run around or ride their bikes and the park is very pet friendly. Gerard & his team do an amazing job!!

Nice caravan park. Relies on an honesty system with powerless sites costing $20. Has a toilet block with really great showers that have perfect pressure and hot water. Little playground inside the park and barbecues. Adjoins a lake for a nice walk.

Thank you to Gerard and your team of volunteers. This park is a great asset to the town of Donald. Close to town, large sites, dog friendly, fires allowed during winter and right on the lake.
Despite the women’s amenities closed due to renovations, the provisions in place were ample and spot on. Clean and with large showers with ample pressure and hot water.
We will definitely be back 👍

As per the other reviews a great park to spend a night or two - ultra clean amenities - great shower ! Close to town on a man made lake - very peaceful! $20 unpowered/ $25 powered sites - good laundry as well - great effort by the team at the Donald footy club !

Had a fantastic night here overlooking the lake. Amenities where spotless. They are in the middle of updating the the ammenities but Regular travellers will appreciate the big showers, loads of water pressure and hot. Free fire pits and they even supplied fire wood. Looking forward to coming back and checking out the new camp kitchen and updated amenities. For $25 a night what more could you ask for. Great park run by great people in a nice country town. Highly recommend.

Fantastic spot for an overnight or a lazy weekend. Great setting next to the lake with wonderful bird life. Amenities were tops! Clean, well laid out, spacious with best showers. Highly recommend.

What an amazing, relaxing caravan park, to overlook the lake was spectacular. I made alot of magpie friends that came for breakfast and dinner. Very quiet, great amenities, affordable camping and dongas available. Oh and Gerard who looks after the park is more than helpful top fella.
