Beautiful room with spa, patio and river view. Excellent restaurant on site and food was wonderful. There is a pool and gym in easy walking distance from rooms. Everything is easily accessible and beautifully decorated throughout. Despite a problem with the booking on my part, Rachel at reception was incredibly helpful and we had a lovely stay thanks to her. Nathan, in the kitchen, was also extremely accommodating and friendly. We had a very relaxing stay and really appreciated this beautiful place and excellent customer service from Rachel and Nathan. Highly recommend

It’s old lodge but good money value. One thing I think they should do is pet control properly. Lot mosquitoes there!

Wonderful location. Loved the interior design. My room was huge. Key pick up is at the Tavern a short walk, great for dinner & drinks. Great little secret just the right distance from home.

Great place, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was good, clean, comfortable bed and great view over the water. Good spa for one person. Irish pub had great food and we took our deserts back to our room. Sunset was stunning over the water.

The rooms are dated but reasonably well maintained. However we had a balcony room overlooking the Manning River and it is absolutely picturesque. Having a 180 degree view of the river is spectacular and we would absolutely return for the experience.

Loved our stay at the River Lodge, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The view was amazing and the heritage walk right outside the lodge was a fantastic way to take in the beautiful surrounds. Room was very spacious with a comfy bed and relaxing bath. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

The room was perfectly clean, & cleaned daily, with a beautiful outlook over the river. The restaurant & bar were serviced by attentative, polite & neatly attired staff, with reasonably priced food & drinks. The food menu was excellent 'though not extensive.
The pool area is very good, although its surrounds looking very tired - understandable after the past two years of covid lockdown
I would reccommend it to anyone looking for a quiet stay -for couples or families - although the weekends are very busy with locals in the bar & restaurant.

We stayed just one night but the value was great and the room was excellent. Clean, modern, well appointed and plenty of room, and just a stroll across the lawn to the pub. It's also a wonderful location, being right on the banks of the beautiful Manning River. I highly recommend this hotel, and we will return for a longer stay.

Situated a number of kms north of Taree and about 9kms from the highway and on the river is Harrington River Lodge. The property is extensive, incorporating Harrigans Irish Pub and surrounded by lovely lawns, gardens and pathways. Our building housed 9 rooms (or rather suites), a very large bed/sitting room with king bed, large bathroom with a shower and bath and an entrance hallway which included the small kitchenette. All furniture and fittings are first class.
Dinner st Harrigans is available from 5.30pm, has an extensive menu and was very nice. We'll look forward to another opportunity to plan this overnighter in our itinerary.

Generally a win. The pool is gorgeous. The staff are friendly - had some great chats with house keeping staff. The staff are around enough but not all the time so it feels private and cosy. If you need anything, you can always pop into the pub next door. Room: well planned and huge. Nice touches like plenty of towels, loads of hanging & drawer space and places to put bags(plural) off the ground (why do they only ever give you one of these?). The bath in the standard room is big enough for two (if you're rather short). Extremely comfy bed which is 2 king singles joined together so there's a tiny dent in the middle but no bother, and there's a lovely seat at the bottom. Great shower. You get a little outdoor table space which is excellent but if it rains it's not covered. The Irish pub which they also run is great. I'm not convinced it felt Irish which is a plus for me. It was light, airy and clean. High ceilings and comfortable. Food, staff, views: Tick. It's the pick of the local pubs. You will need a car to enjoy this area properly. Drive to the beach at Crowdy Head. Do this often.

Could have stayed for longer at this gem of a place. It was modern, spacious, comfortable, beside the river, very quiet, secure & cozy. Dining was 60m away so very convenient. Cheap price with quality everything!
