Bruce is an absolute legend, his knowledge of the sand dunes and how to guide us in our vehicle was exceptional. The kids loved the sand boarding too! This is the best and only way to experience the sand dunes at Anna Bay!!

Went with my friend in her Jeep wrangler and followed Bruce, our tour guide, on the sand dunes. Great experience, beautiful scenery, friendly people. Would 100% recommend. Sand boarding was super fun.

Thanks for an awesome afternoon on Tuesday at the Anna Bay Dunes. We felt that we learnt heaps of great tips and tricks from Bruce. Now feel very confident to tackle Fraser Island. We had a great time and enjoyed the local knowledge and fun stories, an all round excellent experience with 4WD Tag along Tours.

As it was our first time taking our 4WD to Stockton Beach, we thought it best to take a tour and after some research we found 4WD Tag Along & Passenger Tours. Initial communication was fantastic and all our questions were explained.
We did a weekday 2pm tour and from the get go Bruce was welcoming and very friendly which made us all feel at ease.
Throughout the tour, Bruce was patient and shared his expansive knowledge of the area and its history. It was great to not only increase our sand driving skills but to learn about the history of the area.
Whilst I have 4WDing experience, my sand driving was limited and I took away some valuable knowledge and skills for next time. We had a beginner on our tour and Bruce was fantastic in providing him extra instruction and the tour went without incident. This gentleman remarked to me how much he enjoyed and took away from the tour.
Bruce's vehicle was extremely well equipped and he is prepared for any situation that may arise.
The kids had a ball doing the sand boarding and Bruce was fantastic and very thorough with his instruction to both the adults and kids on the use of the boards.
Overall an awesome experience and we wholeheartedly recommend Bruce (& Nicole) and Tag Along 4WD and Passenger Tours.

Must do! Unforgettable experience.

Did a Tag-along tour on Friday 18th August 2023. Luckily, I was the only car booked so I had a private driving lesson with my passengers. Additional passengers were in the instructor car as you can also book the passenger experience only.

I loved the experience. From the beginning with all the explanation about my car (newly purchased and never driven on sand) to the end with certificate of experience for the memory, it was perfect.

The instructor corrected me directly via radio and adapted the tour/exercices to the weather conditions and my experience. I now feel confident enough to drive myself on Fraser island for example.

Absolutely fantastic arvo for the whole family! Bruce was an Epic host and I learnt so much so I'll be much better placed to utilise my car to the Max in the future 😀.

I found Bruce very professional and extremely safety conscious when we explored the Stockton Sand Dunes with him recently. I felt somewhat apprehensive about going over the dunes but Bruce guided us every inch of the way. It was fabulous learning how to drive in sand and it gave me the confidence to do more beach driving, highly recommend Bruce & Nicole. We have since been on several other off road weekend tours with 4wd Tag Along & Passenger Tours and I have no hesitation to recommend their tag a long tours. Excellent experience, thank you Nicole & Bruce.

What a fantastic way to spend the day with the family, in air conditioning whilst testing the limit of your nerve and how to use your 4WD vehicle. Sand boarding included, Bruce and Nicole lead our expedition into the sand dunes at Anna Bay and we had a great time. We met some wonderful people along the way too!

Undertook tag along 4x4 trip on 15 July 2023. Met punctually at the meeting point near the Anna Bay access road to Stockton Beach. Were issued with radios to enable efficient communication between the leader (Bruce) and the other 3 vehicles.
I’d had no experience driving a 4x4 on sand, hence the decision to join this tag along for the peace of mind of not getting stuck out there alone.
Bruce explained and supervised the tyre deflation at the entrance to the beach and then used the radios to guide us to the area where we were going to drive on the steep sand dunes. Opportunities were provided to take pictures of the vehicles descending the steep dune - which was fun as was the sand boarding.
We then drove along the beach near the ocean to a photo point for the spectacular sunset and group photo.
I had the misfortune to loose a small section of plastic trim covering the recovery hook under the front sill of the vehicle, but to my surprise Bruce contacted me about a week later to report he had subsequently found it and offered to arrange its return to me.

A great afternoon learning new skills from an experienced operator as well as hearing interesting information about the area.
Bottom line, we will definitely do the tag along trip to Stockton Beach again when we return to the Port Stephens area.

This experience with this company is a must do not only because you’ve rocked up in a 4WD but to enjoy the knowledge, experience and humour of the owner operator Bruce. For a novice like myself with no prior experience driving on sand, it was such an awesome experience. Highly recommend and totally worth it!!

Bruce did an amazing job taking us through the dunes, teaching us about 4WD’s, optimising settings for sand etc.

It’s crazy what Bruce guides you through and one of the best value things we’ve done. 2 young kids (5 & 2) had a great time too, especially the sand boarding.

Hit Stockton area first time and thought it best I do a tag-a-long. After a bit of research I settled on going with 4WD Tag-Along and Passenger Tours.

It was a really fun experience, Bruce and Nicole are great. I highly recommend them if your not a beach/dune pro and are worried (rationally or not) about tides, quicksand or getting bogged without a rescue crew.

They gave a great mixed tour of an off-road track, beach and dunes. Access to areas not allowed to the general public and good driving tips.

My take always: they knew there stuff, we ran 15psi on 18” light ATs (not a single vehicle got bogged), I was surprised how much the back end was tossed around along the beach but no issues with the Prado, used centre locker a bit but didn’t really need it, used mostly auto but some S Mode to get RPMs up once in a while but our car just powered on no matter what gear I was in, low range and hold the wheel straight on dunes, scooped a bit of sand but no big deal, I took care of it all at the Anna Bay car wash (which is really quite good) then another thorough underbody and rails wash back at home base, have fun.

Also bring a tyre compressor if you have it, both tyre inflators were out of service at the petrol station next to the car wash, you can probably go to the Anna Bay BP instead if you don’t have one.

Bruce was a lovely guide, explained us so many things, and was very patient with some of our family members who came from overseas.

Absolutely loved our tag along tour with Bruce and Nicole! It was awesome to be led by professionals to learn how to safely navigate the beautiful Stockton sand dunes, as we hadn't taken our vehicle offroad before. We had so much fun sand boarding, and felt safe and secure at all times on some challenging slopes. A very memorable and fun adventure - highly recommended.

I was desperately looking for an accessible experience of the dunes for my son who is on a power wheelchair, and this was definitely the best experience ever. Once our son was lifted into the front seat of the 4WD, Bruce instantly made him feel comfortable and kept us all entertained with an endless supply of jokes and puzzles. The ride of the dunes was exhilarating with heaps of heart stopping stunts thrown in. The tour was timed so we saw the best of the beach and dunes and also had a view of a spectacular sunset. Definitely recommend this tour and thanks again Bruce and Nicole for such a memorable experience.

Bruce and Nicole made our experience unforgettable. Very professional and yet personal at the same time, made even the most novice 4x4 driver comfortable.
