Big Scrub loop walking track

Excellent. Drive over farmland until the barrier, then park up. Walk on along a deserted track, cross a river and walk 5mins to the track entrance sign. The track is overgrown, and stunning. Probably dangerous, but worth it. Completely deserted. Just tell someone where you're going.

Quite dense rainforest and very beautiful. Relatively untouched as a causeway usually slightly submerged by water has to be crossed by foot to access the track (just take off your shoes for a minute).

Magical place somewhat hidden down a dirt track but don't be turned off by the road and water crossing it's more than worth it to see this remnant of the Big Scrub, thank goodness it survived!

My family went in January to The Big Scrub Loop walk. It is very beautiful rain forest, however, there were lots of leeches, so kids and their parents may freak out if not properly prepared : ) The walk itself is also a little rough, with branches lying across the track in multiple places. 5 stars apart from the leeches.

Didn't feel like wading through the causeway, so missed out. Some stepping stones would be nice. Why close the gate, just let cars through to the start point.
